Well, I am a bit amused how things diffuse, and what becomes of them. The way they turn up tells a lot about the people who snag online material and abuse it in their own ways. In this case I even feel a little pity for the self-sad Russian mind behind the "steal" (in fact, the pics were not cloned from my FlickR account but rather from the Ukrainian platform where some works frequently show up in an edited and credited form). I really get p!issed, though, when the pics are used commercially, e.g. on pseudo-journalistic websites/blogs or to sell pirate copies of products. This has all already happened, and these are just the cases I have become aware of! But I cannot prevent it - the only option would be to delete the material or make it non-public, and this is not my "personal mission".
