I realize this Bihlmaier fellow is a pro, but he's certainly worthy of an invite.

yes, many of the guys on ModelerMagic are pro working in the movie business or are professional prop & model makers -- Alfred Wong is one whose sci-fi work is fantastic, unfortunately his website is no more.

Alfred's stuff is excellent from what I've seen. His kit masters are awesome! Loved the Babylon 5 fighters he did.

oh, NEW site -- hadn't look at his old site for over a year as no updates -- not much new stuff on the new site either.

Love his own designs tho.

Just been directed to an excellent web comic called Freak Angels - sort of a post-apocalyptic steampunk style thang. Havn't read even 1% of it yet, but it seems to have some nifty modelling possibilities:

1. Steam-powered (I think) skycycle-style personal helicopter (lots more images of it on previous and subsequent pages):

2. Humungous steam-powered gatling dart gun (look at subsequent pages for projectiles/effects  :blink:):

3. Steam-powered water cart:

4. Replacement co-axial rotor steampunky helicopter:

...
My noon, my midnight, my talk, my song;
I thought that love would last forever; I was wrong.

The stars are not wanted now; put out every one:
Pack up the moon and dismantle the sun;
Pour away the ocean and sweep up the woods:
For nothing now can ever come to any good.
