I just saw the code 1200 on the fins...
And you know (North American) 51+51=82, (Messerschmitt) 209+209=409 and 309+309=609... Arithmetics are not popular ;)

Sooo, being European, it should really be Airbus 640

Perhaps two A340-600s = one A340-1200

Great explanation! Thanks!
For perttime: there is also (Dornier) 335+335=635, (DFS) 230+230=203, and several what-if ones: (Blohm und Voss) 226+226=426 and so on...

It'd look great in a proper airline scheme, and I have a few A340s on The Loft.  ;D

Not sure how to do that monster wing centre section though.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

From the cancelled game "Stormbirds" - a project that was in development four or five years ago. A demo video was made and the designs from it are elsewhere on this forum. Here are three more that didn't make the video:

Thanks for the new (modern) twin-boomer

The A340-1200 is pretty cool ! That wing center section is awesome !

The other ones were shown on site somewhere else......needs a link to that discussion I think

But that Dorthmund II is just awesome ! love the cartoon as well  Some of the bits look rather dainty, like the rotors themselves. Other parts look crazy heavy like the main gear, and all the 'junk' around the tail....but that is my favourite part, the tail ! Look at the tail oleo with all that detail....and all the details around it ! Wow....

Nice find...thanks !
