The Lancer looks like a Mirage 2000 tail and exhaust and a Skyray nose and cockpit.  The wings would need to be scratchbuilt, as would the intakes.   It's an interesting looking aircraft, reminds me of the Northrop "Fang".  Not sure about operating deltas from carriers, though.

There have been some, the aforementioned Skyray, and the Skyhawk are obvious examples. Shouldn't be any problems.

Also looks like it's got the Ford's beaver tail as well

If I am targetted by JMNs, I'm in good Company.

All I get from this Linc is adds for "Swedish" massages in Dallas,Texas ... ???

Tophe

Now the corrected link gave it to me, thanks.
I never saw it as well, it seems to be a modified Spanish Buchon (Merlin engined Messerschmitt Bf-109), transformed to look like a P-51 with a ventral scoop...

And yes it could prove very dangerous to JMNs, maybe a health and safety warning should be included!

I quote from "The Dreamy Dodo" Hey don't blame me that's what I found!

"Some of the Buchones dressed up to play as P-51 Mustangs in the classic "Patton" movie that was filmed in Spain. In the end they weren't used due to some bureaucratic problems, but not before the great Perico Santacruz and Colonel Fernando de Artega flew two of them from Biarritz to Barajas without any problems or ill effect due to their fake air scoops......they were returned to UK by truck."

But this begs the question: couldn't they find any real Mustangs? I understand there's still a few (hundred) around!  ;D

Stumbled across THIS:

A German car tuner built this, and it is supposed to be driveable. Still has a 260hp rear engine...
