It doesn't make sense, but it's pretty.
I wouldn't like to the the pilot having to bail out!  :banghead:

Perhaps they jettison the entire engine pod before the canopy comes off?  ;)
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

"Hey! Now that I jettisoned the engine pod I got me a fairly good glider! Let's see how far I can coak this puppy to keep flying".  ;D

I think the artist's site is mentioned elsewhere on this board, but for quick reference:

A nice mix of whiffery and reality: other sections of the site are mildly NSFW.

He also says he became a model maker because of the Matchbox Harrier box art.

How about this navalisation?

PR19_Kit

Found this while looking for un-associated pics. It was on a Russian section of the World or Warplanes gaming site, of all places!

While the camo and roundels look pretty good for the RAF around the Munich Crisis times, I'm not so sure about the big badges on the fuselage side. And the AA-A codes are DEFINITELY out of court.

But it looks pretty and conclusive.

How about this rather recreational MiG-21 version?

Dizzyfugu

...and i stumbled (only) about this detail shot what looks to me like a large scale Kyushu Shinden in classic RAF protytype markings?

Dizzyfugu

And while trying to find the rest of the model, I found THIS rather pretty "Spitfire in reverse"!

Looks like Jim Bede got ahold of MiG OKB's plans for the MiG-21

Some great finds there lads
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Reverse Spit is a boatplane too.  Bravo.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.
