It's the thought of painting it that terrifies me....

Buy shares in Tamiya and Halfords first.  ;D

Quite a bit of it could be done with decals though, like the doors, windows and hatches etc.

I must be going off my trolley, I've saved the pic to my 'Projects' file...................  :o

Wicked!  "Damn right I would fly in it." Would be my response. They messed up when they showed it to us seemingly doing perfectly fine whilst in flight . . .  ;D ;D

I'm not sure that I've ever been ON the track, not since I left British Rail in 1978 anyway............ ;D

Nice idea but it would sink as soon as it touched water, the float is nowhere near big enough.

1/48 A6M2N float and a 1/72 Typhoon might work for more RW floatation concerns.  ;D

Nope, did some overlays and 1/48th is too big, 1/64th would be in the ballpark, unfortunately no 1/64 A6M2N.  :banghead:

Now there's an idea.  And what with a floatplane GB coming up...

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Happy coincidence with the Soviet GB going.

Found this on the Ottawa Irregular Modelers Flickr page, by Carl.

"Carl's 1/72nd "whiffer": Gim-12 "Nazad" Fighter
Talk about a Cold War retro freak out! The Master of "what if" has done it again, and Nazad happens to mean backwards ... for obvious reasons!

Very nice and subtle work with the silver and panels.

Carl: The Gim-12 consists of an Academy Mig-21, X-29 wings and main landing gear, F-16 stabilators, main gear doors and nose gear, brass F-100 pitot tube and Amodel Yak-25 decals.

Paint is Tamiya spray bomb TS-30 plus touch ups."
