Jon,

Hah!

Seriously though - a 1:1 scale 5 tonne steel model?  Damn but, that's some hella dedication to the craft right there!  VERY impressive indeed.

True.  But you'd need a reinforced bedroom ceiling and some really strong string.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

The flip side is, though, you could ping anti-aircraft fire - well ok, BBs - off it all day long and it wouldn't be any the worse for wear...

That's my default mode. Do you think it's to do with being called Chris ?  ;)

Chris
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Did they now?

I've always liked the look of the Kingfish, and it should be a bit easier to scratch with that boxy shape than the more rounded Blackbird. A kit would make things a lot easier.  ;D
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Oh yeah, I remember that from when Stephane was a regular on here. I superb idea and well modellable too.

Wow! That's real good. But would be necessary to find appropriate wings with the leading edge forward.  ;D
Owing to the current financial difficulties, the light at the end of the tunnel will be turned off until further notice.

They're probably scratchbuildable, it's a fairly simple shape, it's just swept forward.

I suppose you could sacrifice a Berkut kit though.

And this, boys and girls, is why you should always read the model kit directions first...

A kit or two! I remember doing a Sea Witch a whif version of Stephane's Sea Devil with tandem backward-swept wings and twin tails (ala Hawker P1214).
