The flip side is, though, you could ping anti-aircraft fire - well ok, BBs - off it all day long and it wouldn't be any the worse for wear...

I've always liked the look of the Kingfish, and it should be a bit easier to scratch with that boxy shape than the more rounded Blackbird. A kit would make things a lot easier.

Oh yeah, I remember that from when Stephane was a regular on here. I superb idea and well modellable too.

Wow! That's real good. But would be necessary to find appropriate wings with the leading edge forward.

They're probably scratchbuildable, it's a fairly simple shape, it's just swept forward.

I suppose you could sacrifice a Berkut kit though.

A kit or two! I remember doing a Sea Witch a whif version of Stephane's Sea Devil with tandem backward-swept wings and twin tails (ala Hawker P1214).
