I suspect it may have crept over the three wheeler weight limit making it not legal to drive on a motorcycle license.

Bugger, though I suspect my provisional one may well have expired by now  ;D

Brilliant conversion though given the extra weight you'd probably need a second to carry it's ammunition ? What next ? The A.T. version with P.I.A.T., bazooka, recoilless rifle or maybe Milan ?  ;)

Why settle for half-measures?

But can you mount one on a Reliant Robin?  ;D ;)

Can't find a Robin, but Corgi do a Regal van (of course, Rodney ) in 1/36th scale die-cast, which is close enough to 1/35th to make no odds, so that means you can use standard MGs, military accessories etc... A Regal would be more '1960s' to go with a Davy Crockett anyway.

And it just so happens that Sharkit do a Davy Crockett in 1/35th too (without the Jeep mount unfortunately)...

Hot tip: mount the Davy Crockett launcher on the BACK corner, not the front one.... :o

Only if you get the centre of gravity sums absolutely accurate!

Actually, it's a CUNNING PLAN worthy of  Blackadder himself.  Show up in a squadron of these and the enemy are incapacitated with mirth, allowing your infantry to round them up without firing a shot...........bloodless non violent warfare.

I could tell the tale of a fellow student (aeons ago) offering a lift to the college rugby team front row in his Reliant Regal.  You can guess what happened........ and we had one he** of a job getting them out with the vehicle at what a former pupil of mine described as a "slantendicular angle"

I may have related this tale before here, but one day while I was walking to school the driver of a reliant three wheeler* opened the door just as a bus came past.
There was a bang and then there was no door.  Just lots of bits of fibreglass shrapnel in the road.  I'm can't remember if the bus stopped or not.  The driver may not have noticed.

*I remember it as a yellow van but that may be due to too much exposure to BBC sitcoms.

Just having a nosy at Sharkit for the Davy Crockett, and look what I found. This could be another option for the Reliant:

Apparently not: the operator normally sat in the passenger seat to fire them. Early ATGMs weern't very energetic since they had to be slow enough for the operator to manually gather them after launch.

Apparently the French made 140,000 of those missiles.  The US used them, according to Wiki -

"The US army purchased the Model 58 ENTAC with an improved warhead to replace the Nord SS.10 (or MGM-21A). It was designed to be an interim weapon, used as the BGM-71 TOW was being developed. The first missiles were deployed in 1963, that year the missile received the US designation MGM-32A. In US service the missile was based on the M151 Jeep and issued to the Anti-tank Platoon of the Heavy Weapons Company. In Korea (7th ID @ 1st CAV) it replaced the Scorpion tracked AT vehicle, a 90MM SP Gun which could not climb the hilly terrain as easily as the Jeep. Using extended cables missiles could be fired from defilade. The missile was phased out between 1968 and 1969, being replaced with the more advanced BGM-71 TOW. It was used in the Vietnam War against fortified infantry positions, but not enemy tanks. It was fired by the 14th Infantry Regiment, amongst others.[2]"

It's hard to see from the perspective of the photo, but there's a metal shield positioned vertically between the operator and the launcher boxes.

Forgive me if I pontificate little here.

Those missiles had a double charge - one that was basically a BANG to launch the missile (and did all of its burning whilst still inside the launcher box), and a second (sustainer) that kicked in a "safe" distance away.

Found this blog post by Job Conger whilst looking for something else entirely: https://aeroknow.wordpress.com/2011/02/03/models-on-the-move/

Towards the bottom he shows some of his what if models, which are impressive:

Turbofan Hughes H-4:

Straight-wing F-86D with F-94B wings, the perfect reposte to Dizzyfugu's F-94C with Sabre wings HERE:

Single fin MiG-25:

Very cool stuff! I'm digging the straight-legged Sabre Dog.  ;D

Dizzyfugu

Cool finds, the F-86D looks somehow familiar and very conclusive. But the Mig-25 with the single Vigilante fin looks really sexy.

PR19_Kit

IIRC that Mig-25 fin was manufactured in Inglewood or Columbus.  ;D ;)
