Very nice!  I think if I were doing that, I'd make the intakes larger - more Foxbat-like.

1945 ? That surprises me. If asked I would have said early 1950's for that.

Came across this neat B-66 with four S-3 engine nacelles.

Just a pity he didn't hang an Exocet under the fuselage instead of R-77s on the wings; it would have fitted Top Gun perfectly!

I think there are a lot of older jets that look good with two or four modern turbofans mounted.
