Wellcome indeed - absolutely gorgeous Spitfire

I was having similar thoughts the other day. What would the RAF's mono-plane fighters have looked like in the 40's with no WWII (for whatever reason). You have pulled that of far better then I could. Petrified of NMF :banghead:
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

That's a beautiful bird in any scale--just curious which. Welcome to whiffing.

Maybe we will be able to get you to use saw and putty and coax you over to the "dark side" of strange aerial concoctions!    Stay here awhile and you may feel the "pull"!

MooooAHHHHHH!

Feel free to check out my (or others') gallery(ies).
My mind is like a compost heap: both "fertile" and "rotten"!

Must, then, my projects bend to the iron yoke of a mechanical system? Is my soaring spirit to be chained down to the snail's pace of matter?

I'm with NARSES2 on this one

I've done a 72 squadron Spitfire based on a no-war scenario with the markings following on from the 'wings of silver' bulldog / gladiator era. However my results are nowhere when compared with this offering. Along with the rest I bow down before a master
Oh to be whiffing again :-(

You could not have stumbled onto a better place to show such a sleek, beautiful design!  As much as I'm in awe of the fantastic finish, it is your exhausts that have me mesmerized: perfect rusty weather and nice contrast to the gleaming metal finish.

Kudos!
Styrene in my blood and an impressive void in my cranium.

Ditto with Chris (NARSES2) on this........I am also interested in how such a finish was obtained.......H

Thankyou so much for your kind words gentlemen.

The finish was achieved using Gunze Sangyo Chrome Silver metalizer paint sprayed onto the model (bare plastic, no primer) and left to dry thoroughly.
I then spent a good 4 hours polishing the surface with cotton buds and an old cotton shirt.

I sealed the finish with a good coat of the trusty Johnsons Klear.

Thankyou for the interest in my model and the warm welcome.
