Started this today with the intention of scale-o-rama-ing it into a Canberra type bomber but it decided to go off in quite a different direction!

Quite happy with the overall look. As usual, it won't be finished any time soon (really need somewhere I can spray paint!) but wanted to show it off and get some feedback.

Looks sharp.  Love how a concept often finds its own direction.
Styrene in my blood and an impressive void in my cranium.

Interesting! The DH.110 design had a tail like that at one point, IIRC. What are the wings from?

I have my own evolved Vixen project to do, but that involves F-15 wings and various Harrier parts.
Some of my models can be found on my Flickr album >>>HERE<<<

A Saab Lansen.

Thanks guys. Any idea on a colour scheme? At the moment I'm leaning toward an anti-flash white interceptor but I'm also playing with the idea of RAN.

Oddly, to me, it looks more like a 1960's cruise missile concept, rather than a bomber (as pictured).

Hmmmm....... you've got me thinking now. A "Green/Purple Vixen SSM" in anti-flash white, flown off in much the same way as a Meteor D.16. Now I need to come up with a drone controller with suitable lumps and bumps to escort it into hostile airspace (but not as far as ground zero!). Any thoughts?

Self contained auto pilot with terrain following radar, and remote link for NLO training.

Autonomous?! Awwwww. I wanted an excuse to do a manned "mother".  ;D

Doc Yo

Intriguing, especially the nose. Will it retain that shape, or be faired smooth into the fuselage? Nice use
of the Javelin tailplane, by the way.

You could always leave a cockpit for manned use, especially in a drone version.

Good start, aerodinamically clean, cool.

Very Cool! Think you might Consider Doing it in Anti-Flash White as a 'Special Response' Missile Carrier Loaded with Bombs & Missiles? just something I thought When i saw the Aircraft in it's Present State. Dan

I do quite like the idea of a vestigial, plated over cockpit, just enough to make it obvious it's converted from a manned variant. The mother idea was merely an excuse to buy another model!  :-X

Basically, this would be a British equivalent to Regulus or Mace.

Well, 1960's? It'd need a crew & long legs... What did the Brit's have in the 60's that would fit that description? A Vulcan or Victor would kinda miss the point but might, in a pinch, make a reasonable launch vehicle. A converted 2-seater fighter?

Sea Venom or Sea Vampire? Sea Vixen? Gloster Javelin? Hawker Hunter? Supermarine Scimitar? Blackburn Buccaneer? Did any of them have a decent range?
