...for the Ki-44 was "Tojo", would this one be a "Hitler"?  ;)

Looking carefully (though so far we have only one angle to view it) I don't see any Fw-190 parts in your Ki-44 + Fw-190. Care to elucidate?

Prop and spinner, for a start. Drop tank as well?

I would presume drop-tank, since it is a "German" aircraft and the tank has that "wasp abdomen" look the Germans were fond of. And Yes, the spinner at least looks like the Fw-190. The Shoki had wet points in the wings, and used wing drop tanks. A centreline tank would be awkward with the way the Shoki's landing gear retract, but I guess the long....(brain fart--loss of words--the "pedestal" the tank is attached with)...was meant to overcome that.

Very nice work!

The prop and spinner makes a huge difference on that airframe, looks very German-like to me.

Funny how a Ki 44 and an Fw 190 together end up looking like a P-47 of sorts!!!

James

Very nice - looks a beast of a fighter.

As Stargazer2006 said, looks very much like an axis P-47.

It is like the seven-headed whip. Many parts, but effective.

Nice, but agree more pics are needed to truly appreciate.

Auuugh!!  :banghead: I hate computer breakdowns!
A power spike took out my MB and a DIMM of memory the day after I posted that image.
I just now have the thing back on it's feet and reliable now.

So, more pics, you say??

As for the parts; an Italeri FW-190D provided the prop and spinner, engine intake, and tailplanes (a perfect chord match for the original parts!), True Details resin FW-190 wheels, and Johan Me-109 for the belly tank LOL! EagleCal decals (really nice stuff!) Tamiya paints.
