Thanks guys...I've always brush painted. I use "rattle cans" occasionally, but usually just as a base.

Trumpeter 1/72nd F-107 as an RF-107C (cameras in the underfuselage pod.)
Additions of underwing stores from F-4 phantom kits.
Decals from the Italeri A-7D.

Black primer, brush-painted with Tamiya Acrylics.

Weathering with graphite pencil.

Very nice Ultra Sabre... Only thing that bugs me is the size of the cockpit. Too much glazing! $:-\$

hi radish , i just love all of your VTOL f-104g, that was always one of my favorite VTOL projects, and now thanks to you, i can have some amazing photos of this aircraft on my PC, i also like the f-107 one the best century series aircraft , unfortunately not adopted by u.s. air force, great work.

Can I ask you where you got the decals that you have on the Argentinian Navy please? I could really do with some white Armada and Anchor roundels for a couple of projects of mine.

The Argentinian decals came from the Italeri 1/72nd Super Etendard

Meanwhile, from the era of "Cold War in the '30s/40s", a German Sopwith Camel, rigorously strengthened for night-time low-level harrassment raids (ie...no rigging!).

Revell 1/48th, black primer, lots of drybrushing.

It's that Irish Air Corps Mick-Coyne MiK-17 "Frisky" Mk.5.

Made from the 1/48th Hobbycraft MiG-17PF, with some modes, not least fitting an appropriate anhedral for the wings. I like this easy to build kit...it does the job for me!
Some additions, like aerials, etc..
Paint by Halford's Red Primer, with lots of Bright Red Games Workshop washes.
Silver chips courtesy of a silver pencil crayon.
Decals from various places.....

Scenario....on UN duty in Africa, most of the Irish AC aircraft were white, but the Squadron Leader's aircraft was painted RED and at least one other was pink.

Lots more IRISH stuff to come along, and I have a Tempest V "in build" and am looking at a larger Irish AC project, a Privateer. I've also worked out the scheme for the Irish Aerobatic Team Dakota.

Here's a 1/48th Jaguar GR.7 (Vampire) of the Romanian "Transylvania" Squadron.
Airfix kit, a few mods, and an essentially all-black primer finish highlighted with drybrushing and some painting of a "summer" scheme using Games workshop acrylics. Decals from a HobbyCraft 1/48th Bf-109.
