Incredible, cool planes but a fascist Mirage is too much even to me. Woahahaha (evil smile)

German VTOL F-104G, with nice tidy rotating wing.
1/72nd using an Italeri F-104G and a plastic card wing and support. Based on a real project for the USAF.

Italeri 1/72nd F-104A/C, using kit decals and old "Frog" decals about 40 years old...they worked perfectly!
Additions from plastic card.

Wow!!!

You've done a great job transforming this F-104 to Girard Heliplane mode (that was the name of this Ryan engineer's concept, which the company once proposed on a variety of projects, including this VTOL Starfighter). Do you know there was actually a Unicraft conversion kit on the market at some point?

Allow me to show two other models of the same project, one official and one from another whiffer. I think that guy did an incredible job with the paneling and details, but went much further than the actual design suggested, contrary to yours which keeps it simple and effective.

Brilliant stuff. I've a few ideas for more variants. I knew about the VTOL resin conversion, as Martin Higgs has used it.....but I'm stingy with money!!
That NASA one looks awesome!!

I do believe you must just be the King (Queen?) of Weathering.  Beautiful work.

The Spectre and three F-104 are my favourite, congratulations...

Here we go again.....

A Latecoere Late 298 (ex-Japanese Seiren) built in Indo-China for the French, 1946/7.

1/48th Tamiya kit with decals from a French Dauntless
Paints my own mix of Sea Blue Gloss (actually a matt paint) with weathering done with a silver pencil, prior to a gloss coat of Klear Floor Polish and some matt varnish additions.

This really confused the Japanese SIG when it first appeared.

An Israeli Spitfire 26.

Used the Airfix 1/48th Seafire 46/47, with the straight wings from the 46 and the deep chin, etc from the 47. Left off the other sea-going equipment too.
A terrific kit to build....I've built over a dozen, all except two as what ifs?

Tamiya Paints, brush painted, a bit of a wash, some repainting and decals from Ventura Spitfire decals.
The stripes came from the Airfix Spitfire 22/24, but with the while overpainted yellow.

I showed it to Trevor Snowden....it was the first "Nationals" when the Spit/Seafire was available....his comment?  "Bugger, we missed that one!".

A third F-104A(VTOL) which made it onto the huge USAF display at Telford SMW a few years ago.
Italeri 1/72nd, modified.

Love the VTOL Starfighter, and that French Seiran is very well done too!
