Captain Canada

Okay okay....I know it's early. I know I've said this before....but I'm going round and round with an ever increasing pile of half-built and almost finished kits. This time for real. No new-builds until all of the crap is finished.

Thank you.

And I won't buy a kit in 2011.   ;D

You're full of it, Toad, just like me!!!  We're both going to seriously FAIL in January, 2011.

After discovering this site in...Jesus...is it way back in 05???  I have managed an average of 12 builds a year until this year...when I have managed ONE....all hope is not lost since I have a lot of time off over the Holiday, but still my resolution for 2011 is to get back to 12 builds for the year!
So I got that going for me...which is nice....

Yea, yea we know Capt  ;D I make the same one every year, and then come New Year there is always some Jezabelle of a shiny new kit giving me the "come on"  :banghead:

Radish

I make a "to do" list every year....still fails.

Just "go for it", whatever "it" is.....

"Don't dream it, be it" as the song says.

So I'll make a list of about 30 things and perhaps build 5, build others, get lost, finish one, do daft things.... :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

I've a proper "planner" for the year.

My resolution is to buy fewer kits and I'm setting a limit of 5 per month with the caveat that if I buy fewer in one month, I can buy an extra one in another.  I have pretty much all that I need and apart from the Airfix Valiant (of which I want 2, possibly 3 so I can do an RAAF one), I don't think there'll be much else to tempt me.  Apart from Spitfires, that is.

To finish some models (I must have 20-30 half built/painted ones in the box) and to start reducing the stash.

I've promised my lass I will only buy one a month and that I will only have one visit to Haworths Pennine Models, as I did last year. I was thinking that by keeping to my promise and being on my best behaviour each month, it might lead itself to extra rewards ;) ....

and maybe some more models too!  ;D (especially if she buys me the new Airfix Valiant)

I'm getting ready to move into a new place.  For the first month or so, I won't have a cat, so maybe I can start the year off by actually finishing a model.  Don't hold me to that, though.

My New Year's Resolution: Finish the stuff started in 2009! Strangely enough, that was also my 2010's resolution.  :banghead:
Cheers,

Must, then, my projects bend to the iron yoke of a mechanical system? Is my soaring spirit to be chained down to the snail's pace of matter?

Spey_Phantom

my resolutions pretty much the same as every year

job, money, reduced stash, drivers license + car, girlfriend,...
only difference, i added "Win the lottery" to the list

My New Years resolution is to

NOT MAKE ONE

at least as far as models are concerned.
There is not a snowballs hope in He11 of anything like that being achieved. So why even try.  Be realistic. Get out there and buy models.
