I've got a bunch of the Centennial schemes and aircraft on my hard drive.  I'd be happy to share.

Those are the best shots of what's been released so far.  From what I understand, they've slated at least one aircraft of every type in the inventory for at least one retro scheme.  Somewhere down the line they've got P-3s and Super Hornets.  I'd like to see some colors on a Prowler while we've still got them.

This is a great thread! Thanks for sharing these folks! I was aware of the hornet and T-45 but nothing else!! Spectacular!  ... though I did have the three tone blue scheme on that Seahawk on my "to do" list for a Vietnam era Huey  :banghead: :banghead:

San Diego (my home town) is having a big to-do for the "Centennial of Naval Aviation" and will have a huge kick-off event Feb 18th (maybe 19th??). Unfortunately, I will be out of town :-\

I know the officer that has arranged for the re-paints (boy, did he have to go through a LOT of B.S. to get these done!). Especially the yellow training aircraft---the commander of the selected aircraft thought yellow was a "sissy" color to paint an aircraft. I guess he doesn't know his history, and never flew a "yellow peril"!

There will be a massive fly-over of the "retro"-painted aircraft.
My mind is like a compost heap: both "fertile" and "rotten"!

Here's another Hornet in a Korean War Corsair scheme.

Here's a new one, a T-34C assigned to Training Wing Four, done up in Ranger air group markings circa 1938.

Here's that F/A-18A from above, this time in the air.  It belongs to VFA-204, and is painted in the markings of a Reserve bird assigned to NAS New Orleans (now JRB New Orleans) from the 1950s.

Now a T-39N assigned to Training Wing Six, in 1938 Enterprise colors and a T-44 of VT-31, in 1919 Curtiss flying boat colors.

Note the funky roundels on the second bird!
