Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

I always hope for the best.
Unfortunately,
experience has taught me to expect the worst.

The postal version or the email one? My latter version hasn't shown up as yet.  :angry:

Cats are not real.
They are just physical manifestations of collisions between enigma & conundrum particles.

Any aircraft can be improved by giving it a SHARKMOUTH!

Yes Robert, here you go;

As 2011 is upon us, its time to 'announce' what is coming from Freightdog for 2011. I'm not going to give you the next two years wish list, instead I'll give you what I'm pretty sure is happening in the next few months!

On the conversion front there are a couple planned with whiffing capability, first up will be an English Electric P.1B conversion, designed for the Trumpeter kit (for all its sin's). The first version will cover the aircraft at first flight, with the shortened tail fin, P.1A main wheels and belly tank removed. This set will include a simple decal sheet of serials only for XA847. I'm hoping to follow this set up with one for the proposed Spectre rocket pack, but that will be later in the year. Next up, and purely for whiffers will be a Fairey Project 7 'Green Cheese' guided missile, complete with weapons bay for the Blackburn Buccaneer. My set will actually be based on a production installation for the Buccaneer S.2, from original drawings discovered by Paul Lucas. Although the drawings reflect fitting to the S.1 at time of development, its logical to fit on the S.2 had it gone into service, and could be used on the S.1 but you will have to use one of the other sets available for that. The Green Cheese set should hopefully be on sale at Milton Keynes on the 6th February, fingers crossed. Green Cheese also has possibilities for fitting externally on the new Airfix Valiant, which may well follow later in the year and outside the scope of this announcement. Lastly there are two sets of Buccaneer slipper tanks also coming out for Milton Keynes, original style fitted to S.1 and early S.2, and later post Mod 5191 streamlined S.2 tanks, applicable to RN and RAF service.

Moving on to complete kits, still progressing is the Supermarine Type 327, making an appearance hopefully by May. Expected before this will be another 1/72nd resin project plane, the Saunders Roe SR.53, which is being mastered by Anigrand. Since releasing the SR.177 I have been asked on many occasions for the SR.53, and since real aircraft do sell better than paper projects, its make sense to cover it, whist it obviously has what-if potential for those who want to develop the idea of what the SR.53s might have been used for had the SR.177 gone into production.

So there you have it, that's the first few months covered, and you heard it here first!
