about to do a 1/24 jag XJ220.

Here's a challenge for you: build the kit not as the V6 turbo production model, but with the V12 and 4WD of the prototype.

hmmmm....unfortunatly the largest spare engine i have is a V10 from a dodge viper  :-\

This is a trick question, right?

I think it should be called "What you plan to finish once you start in 2011," as "Planned builds" could lead to 500 starts and no finishes for me.

I seriously want to see your (anyone's) version of this.  I love my version, but always like seeing others' interpretations.

Finish a few of the part-built, primes, part-painted models:

1/35th "Elephant" with appropriate gun......be afraid!!
etc....

So this build is going to be painted grey and have a trunk is it ?

For Project Cancelled 2011 Theme

all in 1/700:-

Type 43 Destroyer - double ended sea dart destroyer the size of a cruiser
Type 44 Destroyer - Compact Type 43 with single Sea Dart II launcher and Sea Wolf aft.

Type 387 Frigate - leander follow on CODAG powerplant
Type 363 Corvette - light gun armed corvette for East of suez patrols or fishery protection

Type 82 Destroyer - class of 8 general purpose destroyers armed with Sea Dart & Ikara to act as escorts to the CVA-01 (Only HMS Bristol built of this class)

1952 CV - Original post war carrier design incorporating the latest carrier developments for the jet era.
Terra Nova - original 60s design for an Ice Patrol ship to replace Protector. Cancelled as economy measure and Norwegian ship bought and converted to become the Endurance of Falklands fame.
HMS Speedy - Boeing Hydrofoil tested by the RN but didn't lead to a hydrofoil based patrol craft.
SRN-4 Minehunter - SRN-4 designed for the Navy to act as alternative minehunter instead of the Ledbury class

1962 Escort Cruiser - Would like to do the revised Escort cruiser with the Sea Dart in place of sea slug and the Chinook instead of Sea King.

Type 18 Frigate - A hybrid conversion of the WW2 destroyers beteween the full type 15 and limited type 16 conversions.
Type 17 Frigate - a Diesel powered lower rated version of the Type 14 ASW frigate

That should keep me busy !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :banghead:

Not a lot on the horizon right now, I need to sit down and think, but I do have at least one planned. Boeing 314 Clipper Post war colour scheme with full colour BOAC scheme. I'm thinking about using Stratocruiser decals for it.

I've been reading up on that only today! I'd thought about having a go, basing it on a Spruance/Tico hull and bashing the rest from a Type 42 and an Invincible.

My 2011 commitments?  :-\

To build whatever I can, whenever I feel like it and for any suitable reason. ;)

Going by past years I'm not foolish enough to commit myself to doing anything!

I think that's the most likely outcome for us all, Nick

Planned, PLANNED. What do you mean?
I have some that are started, some a long time ago, some recently, but
thoughts for the future, let serendipity take care of that.

Go with an Dragon Illustrious kit, as that has the plated over forcastle giving a spare Sea Dart and has a new main mast meaning the original can be used for the Type 43 main mast. I have used a Tico hull for mine thats currrently under construction. (See Project Cancelled SIG section)

Also want to do a few Sci-fi pieces.

Then will try something for the 1 Week GB, Secret Santa GB and maybe the Pirate GB again.

May even build a car  (well, the new 24th scale Batmobile is supposed to be released).

A whole bunch of ships.

A slew of little airplanes.

I knocked out more kits last year than I have in, well, years really, and I'm hoping to continue that trend.  SWMBO will allow me to buy more as long as she sees finished kits heading to the display case or shelves.
