so what are your building plans for 2011  :rolleyes:

here are a few of my plans:

What if:

-1/72 Avenger Fire Fighter (Belgian Protection Civile/Civiele Bescherming)
-lots of 1/72 Luft'46 aircraft
-1/72 Belgian Army AH-1T Twin Cobra
-1/144 TU-22M3 Backfire-A (Leutonian Air Force)
-finishing my 1/144 Aircraft carrier and my 1/72 Belgian Martlet Mk.1.
-1/72 A-7J Super Corsair III (planned for the test & expermintal GB, but never realised)
-1/72 Blackburn Buckaneer (Royal Australian Navy)
-1/72 Grumman Widgeon (RNV Navy)
-1/48 A-10A Thunderbolt (Belgian Air Force, 1 of 2 1/48 aircraft planned this year)
-1/72 Khemed Mosquito Mk.VI and Spitfire Mk.V (TinTin aircraft project)
and lots more.....

Real World:
-lots of 1/72 and 1/144 Belgian AF and civil aircraft/helicopters
-1/48 AS355 (OO-HSN, local medical trust helicopter from Bruges, second of only 2 1/48 models planned)
-1/72 Sabena Ju-52 (had the Heler kit of a while, didnt know what todo with it)
on the bench:

-all kinds of things.

I would really like to do some more modelling this coming year......what I have in mind are....

1/72 Mi 24 Hind as a Brit CSAR helo
1/72 Ka 50 Hokum as escort for above
1/72 Mi 28 Havoc as control/escort for above...
1/72 Su 25 in the Sandy role.....for above
!/144 Mig 31 Foxhound in Indian AF markings for a Su30MKI pilot I talk to via social network (he has some awesome pics...!)......he can't wait for the PAK FA T50...!!!

I have various attack helicopters that I want to do.....with a Merlin....all in 1/72

I would also like to add to the Maltese Air Defence Force,there are various a/c in line to be built so can't be specific...Mav has done some profiles of some of the a/c I have to do......all in 1/72.....B1B,BN Defender,Jaguar,Hawk 100,maybe an F16 or two.......

Well last year I only managed the one  What-if build (http://www.whatifmodelers.com/index.php/topic,30561.msg469209.html#msg469209) in 2010 but my appetite has been whetted for the New Year. 2010 has seen many WWI real world kits being completed and I still intend to finish them (they were passed to me by the widow of a friend who I didn't know had a plastic fetish !

So whats to be done in the new year ?

First off finish rigging the 1/72 Roden Albatros D.I,

Next in the real world there is.... (all 1/72nd)

Merikraft Albatros D.II
Blue Rider Albatros D.II Offag Conversion using a Revel Albatros D.III
Roden Albatros D.III
Merlin Albatross D.IV
Airfix Albatros D.Va
Roden Albatros W.orm

What-if

Got a Ju-88 from PR19-Kit.... so a Japanese solid nose cannon endowed interceptor.

and a four engined replacement for the Short Sunderland - a long range ASW patrol aircraft for the (hopefully) GB '46 Group Build if it comes to frutition.

Seriously that would take a while to build that little lot !!!

Currently building and intend to finish

1/72 Fw 190 A-10
1/72 Fw 190 F-8/R14 Production variant
1/144 VC10 variant
1/72 F-16 Israeli versions.... yes I have enough to do both single and two seat versions from each Peace Marble deal... so I intend to at least start some of the nine aircraft involved
1/72 Israeli kitbash
1/72 Tornado kitbash
1/72 Fw 190 kitbash
1/72 Lightning whiff

possibly more or less depending on real life and other such stuff

Then either my academy Mig 29
Or the airfix club Gr7 Harrier... These will both be what-ifs but im not giving away what yet... :)

Not a lot at this time . . .

Finish my Amodel MiG 9, probably in basic Silver Dope, with Czech or West (!) German markings . . .
"When Worlds collide" Space Ark, maybe in Anti-Flash White & British roundels (Thanks, Darkmaster!)
Try to find a SAAB Lansen in 1.72 & do it in West German markings (Kit suggestions, anyone??)
My first resin kit . . .

to be honest i dont really have that much planned..........tend not to think any further than 'the next one'

about to do a 1/24 jag XJ220......................got a ship GB to do elsewhere..........tempted to do a battle-carrier  ;D......whif-wise i want to try and do some more for my alternative 'WW2 to now' timeline.....Canadian An2, something Panamanian or Cuban (possibly a SLUF).......got a long term idea for a Flitzer but i need to 'aquire' a few things first  ;D

Heller were the only ones to do a Saab Lansen that I'm aware of in 1/72.

Finish a few of the part-built, primes, part-painted models:

1/48th Hellcat V-tail
1/48th Bf-109G-10 V-tail
2 x 1/48th F-8E Crusaders
etc...

1/35th M41 with 88mm gun
1/35th "Elephant" with appropriate gun......be afraid!!
etc....

1/72nd MTB on skis
1/600th-ish Prince of Wales spaceship (Rocky Horror project)
Lots of launches, etc., various scales from 1/350th to 1/400th, all fan-based Rocky Horror craft.
