Heller has some kits due for release in 2009 but for some reason they are not being listed by anyone as far as I can tell. They were at the Nuremberg fair on the Joustra stand apparently. Here's a link to what I wrote on Britmodeller. http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=27685

Modelstories have posted most of the Heller 2009 releases here. http://modelbox.free.fr/news/HELR2009_P/index.html
Seems they have found the mould for the two-seat 1/72nd Mirage F-1B/C that was thought to be permantly modified to F-1CR/CT version. Maybe had duplicates? The often hard to find Mirage IIIE is being reissued too as are the Magister and Mirage 2000. Really want them to repop the two seat Draken!

I was extremely surprised to see the Justice League Of America set in 1/72nd!

Excellent news!!
I wonder if I can get a replacement part for my Nordatlas in 1/72nd scale as the croosmember that attaches the wings to the fuselage was missing when I bought it. And I don't fancy trying to replicate it myself.

Two-seat F.1 is back from the dead?  :o Woohoo!

The Justice League is kinda cool! Imagine the diorama possibilities.

Presumably Heller has no connection with Airfix any more since the Hornby take-over?

I wonder where that leaves moulds for the various Javelins etc. some of which ended up as Airfix kits at one stage.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

They seem to be still using Airfix tools now and then. The recent reissue of the Gazelle is supposed to be the Airfix kit again, think their own mould was last seen in Mexico or Argentina along with the T-6 Texan/Harvard, Jaguar and Alpha Jet among others.

I've got so many M.IV profiles saved on my HD, I really should get a kit of it!

When I was at Telford I picked up the new TSR.2 book on the SAMI stand & they slipped a catalogue in the bag.  I had a very quick look at it last night, but one thing that stood out was a page on the forthcoming Heller A380's.  There was a diddy 1/800 kit, several versions of a 1/125 kit and, wait for it.....

A 1/72 A380!!! :o

Surely not???  If Heller are wanting to announce to the world that they are back, that's not a bad way to go about it!!!  If it's true, that's a 1m long model, with a 1.10m wingspan.

Sell the bed!
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Me too -----

In my stash I have in 1/144, A380, An-124, C-5 and a 747-400 and comparing them there's not a lot of difference. These are about the size of a 1/72 C-135.
I also have in 1/72 scale a C-5 and a 747-200 so a 1/72 A380 would be most welcome.  Sometime ago I was chatting with the owner of Heavy Kits, he makes/made the 1/72 Hughes Hercules (Spruce Goose) kit and he told me he has the fuselage done for a 1/72 An-124 but not the wings.  I've got a 1/200 Hughes Hercules and a 747-400 and comparing them together there's not a lot of difference lengthwise but wingspan is vastly different.
If I'm not building models, I'm out riding my dirtbike
