Bad idea to bad mouth your suppliers. They went bankrupt, a buyer has been found (Maped) but there's no guarantee that the Heller side of the business will continue.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

It's in the business press as well Lee

They'd probably do as a die-cast Corgi one and it would weigh as much as the real thing!  :o
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage

That's my reading of it as well, but it's not clear as to what production will move.

Maped has a production facility in Argonay, Haute Savoie, so it's likely they're just
moving the moulds as Maped already have their own modern injection moulding
operations, which are on a larger scale than Heller. Keeping operations running at
the old Heller factory in Trun, Normandy has apparently been the major drag on
the business.

Dassault also have a facility in Argonay.

Thread revival, even though it is an ugly zombie: the Heller brand has been bought by the German model kit distibutor Glow2B, and there has been a press release that 1:72 and 1:35 military kits will be discontinued and focus be placed upon things with relevance for the French market.  :-\

Here's the text (in German, though)
http://www.ipmsdeutschland.de/FirstLook/Hersteller_News/Newsletter/Information_Heller_Glow2B_2019_03_19.pdf

Personally, I am not certain if this will save the brand in the long run, and I hope that the molds survive and pop up elsewhere, because Heller used to have some very nice, if not unique, offering.

French modellers don't do 1/72 and 1/35 military kits then?  :o

False thinking on their part I'm sure.

I think this is mainly about military vehicles (which I don't think Heller did many of).

Heller did a fair few 1/35th and 1/72nd military vehicles actually , most of them French types and mostly not available elsewhere in that scale:

AMX-13-105 (tank)
AMX-13-75/SS11 (tank)
AMX-13-155 (SPH)
AMX-13 DCA (SPAAG)
AMX-30-105 (tank)
AMX-30 DCA (SPAAG)
AMX-30 AUF-1 (SPH)
VAB 4x4 (APC)
VAB 6x6 (APC)
VCI (APC)
Somua S35 (tank)
Leclerc (tank)
VBCI (APC)
Renault R35 (tank)

EDIT:

1/35th set with a Hotchkiss 25mm AT gun, a Hotchkiss heavy MG and a Gnome et Rhone motorbike+sidecar.

In the odd LHS & you can still find them on the shelves, peeping out & begging you to buy them. ;D

I don't but only because I'm trying not to spend too much money beyond the (very extensive) back-order notification list I have with BNA Models (which includes several 1/350 ships). :-X

There are quite a few new ones in UK retailers at the moment: saw a lot at the weekend.
