Not half an hour ago, Raymond of Kinetic announced this baby over on ARC:

Mirage 2000D in 1/48!

Scale it down to 1/72 and I'll get a dozen!

Cheers,
Moritz

I'll have a 48th one but, like you guys, I'd take several in 72nd.

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Can't wait for the 1/72 F-16I!!!  I've had a whiff planned for that bird since they unveiled it in real life.  I've never really liked the F-16 but there's something about this new version that looks so right.  I can't put my finger on it...

Probably a dumb question but does anyone make aftermarket engines for it in 1/72?

I'm not sure which of several bodily fluids you're referring to, but I'll let you keep that to yourself...

Lucky model are taking pre-orders for the 1/72nd F-16I Sufa, some nice pics here. http://www.luckymodel.com/scale.aspx?item_no=KI-K72001
This news via Cybermodeler. http://www.cybermodeler.com/index.shtml

Also kinetic are planning an MQ-9 Reaper armed drone (info via Matt Roberts over on Britmodeller http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=11267&st=40&start=40 ). Not really into models of radio controlled planes myself but might get one of these for that rather nice pusher prop and other parts!

I'd like to see them scaled down to 1/72, although Kinetic seem to be keeping firmly in 1/48.  It would be nice to have 1/72 UAV's that don't cost as much as the Platz/Italeri kits.
