I found this tidbit of interest:

QuoteAlso for the small scalers out there the 72nd NATO weapons set should be available at Lucky Model by the 1st of July 2010
It isn't on pre-order yet on LM but it should have IRIS-T, Harpoon/SLAM and GBU-39 Small Diameter Bombs

^ And there'll be more than just those weapons. The set will include:

GBU-39, IRIS-T, GBU-24, GBU-10, GBU-38, SNIPER XR, SLAM ER, AGM-154, AGM-84E/H

No idea regarding the quantities included, though. The 1/72 Israeli set (CLICKY!) had six items, which were included four times each.

I'd like to see them scaled down to 1/72, although Kinetic seem to be keeping firmly in 1/48.  It would be nice to have 1/72 UAV's that don't cost as much as the Platz/Italeri kits.

Well, they did scale-down their F-16I Sufa. So who knows, maybe they'll do that for the UAVs (and hopefully the Mirage 2000(s)) as well. From my perspective, it'd make a lot of sense. An MQ-9 and a new family of Mirage 2000s would be peerless and the MQ-4 is only covered by PLATZ in that scale.
Also, Kinetic's moulds were already re-released under the Italeri label (1/48 F-16s and F-84Fs) and the 1/48 E-2 by Italeri is also rumoured to be from Kinetic's moulds. Italeri already re-released PLATZ MQ-1 and intends to re-pop PLATZ MQ-4. Since PLATZ apparently is in no hurry to release an MQ-9 in 1/72,  hopefully Kinetic will come to the rescue.

Maybe pestering Kinetic with emails with cries for 1/72 will help?

Now available from Lucky Model: the Kinetic 1/72 F-16D Block52+ Greece/Poland. CLICKY! It seems this includes the complete Skunkmodel Workshops US/NATO weapons set! Which means you get a nice two-seater Viper for only a tenner!

Notice for the mods:
Just throwing this out there, but I wonder whether it would be sensible to merge this topic with the Skunkmodel Workshops thread.  These two brands are basically two fronts of the same parent company. Merging the topics (calling it Kinetic Model Kits/ Skunkmodel Workshops or something like that) could make it easier to keep track of releases and avoid unnecessary double posts (like my Kinetic Viper reference above ).

Moritz

Mmmm, Reaper....  Hopefully it'll be out in 1/72.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Well, the 1/48 MQ-9 is available - I just ordered mine.

Indeed it is, especially since I've been looking for the ancient 1/72 version for just the same reason.

Hopefully they will scale down the Tracker and the Greyhound to 72nd scale as the former kits are very dated and the later just as conversions !
