I almost snagged the Voodoo at my LHS today....but chickened out on basis of price. I'd love to have that bird sitting on a shelf, but can by upwards of 7 Airfix 72nd kits in it's place

The XL is now being released under Kinetics Skunk Models Workshops label, apparently it has over 250 parts.

^ The high parts count may be due to the fact the Kinetic intends to use sprues of their existing F-16 family as extensively as possible (assuming that unused parts are included in the overall parts count). If I understood him correctly, Raymond of Kinetic said in some thread that using existing sprues makes the F-16XL project worthwhile, as he figures the market demand wouldn't justify an all-new XL. Quite interesting.

Must, then, my projects bend to the iron yoke of a mechanical system? Is my soaring spirit to be chained down to the snail's pace of matter?

Lots of stuff for the spares box then!

Capt'n, do you mean the Kitty Hawk's F-101? I've never heard of a Kinetic Voodoo...
BTW I'll gladly trade 10 (not 7!) of my Airfix 1:72 kits from the 70's-90's for the above mentioned Voodoo. ;)

They've said on Facebook that the next Harrier variant will be the T.2.

Looks like the F-16XL may be coming out in a Skunkmodels box instead of a Kinetic one (arn't they all the same company?): http://www.hannants.co.uk/product/SKW48026

I wish they'd pantograph it down to 1/72, either that or persuade Revell to re-pop the Monogram one.

[Later] Hehehe, just noticed Big H advise that you may find some 'normal' F-16 decals useful for your F-16XL model, an entire PAGE full of them!  :o
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Yep Weaver, Skunk, Kinetic and the Lucky Model shop are all owned by the same guy.

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

But more importantly still, do we get to see them 'painted differently' as well?

The British have raised their security level from "Miffed" to "Peeved". Soon though, security levels may be raised yet again to "Irritated" or even "A Bit Cross". Londoners have not been "A Bit Cross" since the Blitz in 1940 when tea supplies ran out for three weeks

Captain Canada

Oh I can't wait to see what Ian does with those !

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.
