Just spotted the artwork for the forthcoming Gladiator I at http://www.airfix.com/airfix-products/aircraft/military-aircraft-19301950/a02052-gloster-gladiator-172-a02052/:
- K7985 (L8032/G-AMRK) of the Shuttleworth Collection, Shuttleworth Aerodrome, England, 2012
- No.1 Fighter Sqn, Aer Chor na heireann (Irish Air Corps) Baldonnel Aerodrome, Ireland, 1940

Also both ancient and new Typhoon Ib kits are listed side by side!  BOGOF deal to get rid of the old version?  Come on Airfix, you know it makes sense!

I'm now able to clarify the situation re the Heller, Humbrol and Airfix Mirage F1 kits, having been on an ebay buying spree recently.

The early Heller kit comes in both single and two seater versions in the same kit, but has no IFR probe. The later Heller kit is only a single seater but does have the probe. For some bizarre reason the spaces for the two seater bits are still there on the sprue and some gates are blanked off, but some parts have been cut away before the kit was boxed! You can clearly see where this has happened for the taller fin moulding, madness.  :o

The Humbrol boxed kit is esentially the later Heller kit in a different box, and the Airfix is nowhere NEAR as good as the Heller offering!

In also bought the Heritage 2 seat conversion and it's brillant, comes with two sets of canopies too so I can build oodles of the needle sharp things now.

The Irish option is cool!

The Hawker Typhoon and Dambuster Lancaster are shown as releases for approx 29/03/2013 on Wonderlands website so smack bang on Easter Weekend  :banghead:. Means that some lucky ones will get them before the break and the rest will have to await for the post or LMS deliveries the following week but they have done that before with releases.

Wow...that's a beauty ! You get all those extra engines and props in a single kit ? One sprue has 2 sets of props then the other has a single set. Must be 2 diferent boxings ? And I love the 'what if' built up model ! That thing would sound awesome eh ?

Nope they are just showing both sets of sprues, the Dambuster kit will come with the Merlin engines with the thin or paddle blades no doubt and the B.II will have the Hercules engines. I suspect the Dambuster kit will include the parts to allow it to be built as a conventional B.i/iii if the bomb bay doors and upper turret parts are standard on the main sprues.

Just had my Airfix club stuff through, the Hurri and Curtis are definately the newer moulds :) But the Spitfire is worryingly older than me !! :( Gonna need rescribing for a start :/

And the catalouge gives a very exciting note with the dambuster Lanc... As i guessed earlier in this thread one of the options is confimed as AJ-T, otherwise known as the one with the belly gun :)

Leading Observer

I think ukmail are trying to deliver my club stuff. They can't come when I'm at home, won't leave it in a safe place - evidently it needs to be signed for, and their "local" collection centre is 25 miles awy :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: SWMBO is home Monday and I've rescheduled delivey for Monday. Who wants to bet they try to deliver in the 10 minutes she's out?

Surely the phrase 'postal service' is an oxymoron?  ;)

Having said that the Royal Mail around my area is brilliant, once the postie knows you and you can tell them the 'secret places' to stash the parcels etc. And my sorting office is less than a mile away.

According to this the Dambuster kit is due this month but that tends to be the end of the month rather than the start and with it being Easter weekend they are instead looking to formally release the kit the first weekend in April at the Cosford Model Show.
The Lancaster BII is due in June so take that as about the start of July as to when it should be available.

Basically whats available on the website, the series is indicated by the first number in the product code (generally)
