I went a little batty over 2 visits &, being predominantly an armour modeller my wishlists were slightly different, asking for;

1/72nd & 1/48th Wellesley (I really want to build a Wellesllington torpedo-bomber/reconnaissance plane!)
1/48th CAC Boomerangs
1/35th AC Sentinel family of tanks
1/35th Australian Matilda tank variants (esp. 3" howitzer)
1/35th Australian Valentine variants
1/35th post-war British armour series
and a request that they start changing over their old 1/76th stuff to new-tool 1/72nd

I think that was about it.

I, possibly, should have gone for a 1/48th Whirlwind fighter & a 1/35th post-war British military vehicle series, too.

That's two of us for the 1/48 Whirlwind then ;D .

Struggling a bit with the 1/48 Spitfire I/II, not the best fit. Strange paint mix given for Sky Grey (H.34 & 47???). I find H.34 & 126 is perfect.

Would also LOVE to see a 1/48 Hampden. Two tries at the French nightmare but no banana :banghead:.

....and that sentry box somehow says Colditz to me or something similar !

Didn't they do the Colditz Glider at some stage in the past?

They did or were going to, however somebody on BM has traced it back to the 1/32nd Checkpoint with the Bridge, watchtower and sentry box, so I think that's in and ties in with the other buildings they released in this scale this year.

One though just dawned on me after looking at the sneak peek last night before they were removed was the Tilly and other vehicle appeared to be in RAF Blue Grey which either indicates either an pre/early WWII airfield set or an early Cold War set which would be nice !.

Anyway the Advent Calendar looks to start on Sunday so you'll be able to see the clues as they were supposed to appear over the coming month and we'll get confirmation of the actual 2014 releases at the end of the year(ish).

Interesting options there, Mossie will be happy with the War Bus out again

Yep, quite happy with that one.  Now the pics have gone it's difficult to work out what was there, just got to be patient and wait I guess.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

NARSES2

Yup didn't get there in time. But I did put the Blenheim on my wish list  Metal wing Hurricane is good as well, have to stock up on a few more fabric wings  ;D
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Its proper kicking off over there on that "other" site.. they've had to lock the thread down..  :-\

I'm not very boaty but there were two Landing craft piccies, one defo the LCM 3 but the other looked like it was bigger to me? Seemed to be one of those 3D printer jobs.

I have it on very good authority that the new 1/72 Airfix Lightning F2A will be in the shops on the 7th Dec.

Excellent news on the Lightning coming out on Friday.

I have a feeling the Warrior IFV and the other FW-190 A8 are also due out this month too either next week or the week after in which case I think we will have seen Airfix actually release all of its 2013 new kits within 2013 !!!!.

Now that is a first as the usual trend was generally Easter the following year, so we can certainly see improvements to their overall performance as well as quality of kit. Part of this is down to getting their own design team in-house and getting them up-to speed together with a good working relationship with their tooling and production contractors, the other aspect is a sound marketing strategy with a majority of the kits already produced to test shot for the new catalogue and the others to prototype so they know what they can produce and develop within the next 12 months.

Despite the more conservative release schedule, I think I prefer it this way as we know for sure a decent kit is coming out in the next 12 months, unlike others who announce kits in advance but then take years to come out if at all as their attention slips onto other projects (Italeri Canberra ?, Trumpeter be-6, Condor, etc).

Cheers
