There's the old Matchbox 200 if you can find it.

Paul Harrison

Got a few from Hong Kong via EBay a couple of years ago. Looked as though they'd been moulded in China and included a mini tube of old style stringy glue

Probably the best option as i dont think Airfix would do a Hawk 200 as we didn't use them

On the other hand, you could say that it's a successful British export with some interesting colour schemes, so maybe it's worth banging the drum about. Modellers seem to love Hawks generally, so a 200 (and a T-45) would complete the "set".

I don't disagree but i think we would have seen them by now, perhaps if the Cold War had gone past 1989 we might have seen some used for the TWCU and double as 2nd line lnterceptors as the T1A's did, but it didn't and the exports are to smaller countries or dubious ones like Indonesia so it wasn't really Politcially Correct when a new model might have been issued.

If anyone wants any Airfix kits I suggest that get them before the prices go up because if you think the are a bit pricey at the mo' wait'n till the new increases hit.

Officially the prices went up on Jan 1st so it won't be long before it filters down to the shops.

Yes, but that's 1/48 scale where the Matchbox kit was 1/72 scale which most of us in the UK build.

They'll be going up in about a months time and it mainly applies to shops, not Airfix's site.

They're releasing three boxings of the Tiger Moth:
WWII RAF trainer (a Yatesbury machine in early war camo tops over yellow and high demarction).
Preserved civil machine (G-ACDC, red with silver flying surfaces).
Starter set pre-war aircraft (Hatfield machine in all-over yellow).
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Yes, but the point is that somebody is willing to make a model of the -200, despite political correctness disapproving of some of it's operators.
