Wouldn't it pay to get one to practice with so you could make sure you did a really good job on the one Santa brings you?

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Well the 1/24 Typhoon is out on Monday and I have been told "NOT TO BUY IT" (not my capitals or bold) on pain of death. Think I'll be seeing it in 5 months time

Who told you that?

Assuming your question relates to the Typhoon being released on Monday then Hannants website (actually it says week commencing 14th July)

Assuming your question relates to who told me ? My niece  ;D

I think the family rather then buy me individual presents which to be honest I doubt if I'd do much with, or vouchers have decided to club together and get me something I would really, really want

Won't you need a new case to bring it back home ?

UPS or Fedex.

What a wonderful idea Chris, they know you VERY well!  ;D
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

this idea is not as silly as it may seem to some. i have seen photos of a model railway layout that had a aluminium
box section frame built for transporting it to and from shows by public transport, c/w wheels. the idea worked too
as the guy took the layout on trips to york and utrecht by public transport with little or no damage sustained to
his layout.

roll on airfix's 1/72 swift and lightning F6 mind you.  ;D

Somebody on BM dicussed the Swift with the Airfix Rep at RIAT and they said it will be delayed as the mould has been damaged and returened to the toolmakers for repair  :banghead:. The lightning should hopefully be still on track
