I wonder why a full interior when 99% of it will be hidden?  I'd have much rather seen more weapons and dodads in the bomb bay.

Do we know for sure that there arn't more weapon bay options? All we've seen are one set of CAD images, not the actual sprues or instructions.

Therapy like Chris says, as well, just getting the feel of the interior layout, stations and how cramped it would be. I think that would be of historical interest as most of us are not only modellers but into aviation/ war/ technology. I can see myself pinching the fuselage halves together and mulling over the prospect of being stuck inside their for countless hours....

Having said all that, more weapons options and the floats would have also been nice !

Oh well, a hop down to my LHS this aft for a wee pint and hopefully there'll be somat new their from Mr. Airfix !

lol not really....but it's tradition for all the regulars to show up for a pint on Christmas Eve. Way better at his new location which has a sort of 'clubhouse' at the back.

I always hope for the best.
Unfortunately,
experience has taught me to expect the worst.

One of the product planning teams will be kicking themselves!  ;D

Maybe the Revell one is a re-hash of the FROG one with mods, and rivets............
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Apparently it's another 'new tool' kit we can expect sometime in the near future, supposedly with the ability to do multiple variants  --- the comments are now that Airfix pre-emptied them, some variants might not get done.

The Airfix kit has full support from the Shackleton Preservation Trust, Revell were a bit nasty to them when they were told they already had a deal with Airfix so don't! Full story is over on Britmodeller somewhere.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

The Defiant is out. At least in the Dogfight Double boxing with the Do 17. Just need it to be released on its own now
