Seems that Airfix will be doing the Shackleton as an AEW.2 at some point too. A photo of the prototype at London Toy Fair 2015 shows the MR.2 with the AEW.2 radome fitted.

Blimey, I hardly recognised Tony without his moustache ;D.

Captain Canada

Lovely ! Nice to see that. It's a great pic as well as I was looking for ideas on how to add a few bits to the roof of my old kit, and that shows it perfectly

Also nice to see the Whitley. I love the shape of those engine nacelles ! Would look good on almost any fighter, or how about 4 of them on a Lanc or Halifax ?

So the Wildcat has a folding wing option ?

Just like some furniture and carpet store's sales, it seems the Airfix 'Last Chance Sale' wasn't the 'Last Chance'.

It's just been re-fettled at http://www.airfix.com/shop/last-chance-to-buy-collection.html?utm_source=Hornby+PLC&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=217890_Airfix+-+LCTB+-+Week+43+2015&utm_content=LCTB&dm_i=2DJZ,4O4I,22Y11P,9XDC,1
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Regards
Kit

I was in one of Adelaide's larger Hobby Shops on Sunday.
An entire wall devoted to aircraft kits but a distinct lack of any new tool Airfix.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

The latest SAM has some nice pics of the new tools plus a release schedule. Pics reveal that it's not just the Wildcat with a folded wing option, the Kate has one as well
