No, it wasn't of a matter of them not being interested because they already had the books, only three or four of us in the
group had any of them, and I guess you missed where I said I was also offering the US projects books? Zip interest in
them as well.

Esoteric stuff ain't popular, sites like this one and Secret Projects, hell - any modelling forum/site, give a distorted view
of the hobby as they are populated by folks with an explicit interest.

Luft '46 is easy, they've got bleedin' swastikas on 'em,  :banghead:, and I wouldn't say they've been a screaming success sales wise as
I've seen a number of them still sitting on hobby shop shelves years after original release.

Nice work on the Whitley! I won't be getting one but it looks good. The Swift I want!

On the previous page someone mentioned the idea of scanning a Phantom at Yeovilton...going by the reaction to the Shack, an Airfix RAF/RN Phantom (FGR.2 in late 70's camo for me) to their current standards would bring the house down.

Great news that Airfix are stepping up a gear with their updates and releases.

Hopefully in the future a few more lines will be in the 1/48 scale.

Nice work on the Whitley Martin.  Every time I look at that fuselage roundel it looks like a C type to me, don't know why because when I look again it isn't  A couple of other builds I've seen look the same as well so it's not just yours. Strange.

Anyway ordered my Kate from the big H as Airfix are sold out, must have all gone to traders and pre orders. Pre ordered the Wildcat just in case

We have  Hms Saxifrage and Hms Wellington moored in the middle of London . Maybe they could scan them . I guess ship model s are the Cinderella of the modelling world though.

Airfix have put some discount bundles up on their site which are only available until 25sep15. Note that these are NOT the same as the BoB sets. Note also that they include a set of those resin ruined buildings that are normally ridiculously expensive:

I understand the 'need' for Airfix to produce these marques of He111 but I do wish someone would consider producing a buildable (and keep your hair whilst doing it) B or C variant. Come on Airfix, think into the box for once. The Mitsubishi G3M and G4M s were important in our defeats during the early Pacific War...why not produce them (and at more than half the price of Hasegawa).

I noticed that the He 111 box art has the 111 going down in flames. Not your usual choice of scene...

The Blenhiems the same both very topical, although the He 111 is modelled after the restored one that depicted in the box art.

Hopefully they will do the Skua to go with it !

Do I take it that "buildable" excludes the Roden ones then?
