A two-stage Mossie.

Blast. And here I was thinking I 'd get away this year without any stack increases..

I'm perfectly cool with a TT.35, btw, as I am focused on a post war universe.
Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition!

-New tool 1/72 DH Mosquito
-new tool 1/72 Hawker Tempest Mk.V

Two of my favourite aircraft

Did/does anyone do a tempest Mk I conversion set (yes I have been reading January's SAM). Heritage did a Mk II conversion, not sure about a Mk I though.

In 1/72 see https://jaysmodelkits.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=65_72&products_id=187.  I've got one, fits the Heller Tempest, looks good.  For some perverse reason I plan to use mine as a much modified basis of a Hawker P1009 Sea Typhoon but may instead build it straight.  will look at the bits I've stashed away for that project and if I decide it can be done without the Jays Models stuff I'm sure the conversion kit can be released into the wild.  OK Croydon.

The JAYS Models conversion is the old Ventura conversion, I've got a number of both in the stash.
If I'm not building models, I'm out riding my dirtbike

Well a bit disappointing on the  floaty and  wheels and tracks department

I watched the video and they mentioned some things from end of 2020 line

Have we had any recent news about the 2 Scammel and the Tractor

Nick

The Sea Harrier FRS.1 has me puzzled. They are announcing it for late 2021 as a NEW release but I'm sure it's been out already. Scalemates says it came out in 2010.
Would I be right in thinking this is the same moulds but different schemes?

Just watched the Airfix releases 2021 on YouTube as their website is currently down.
I'm pleased about the Bond Bug and Jaguar 420, the Vickers Valiant  and the Chipmunk.
The starter sets are a good idea on the tank range,  but I'm betting that aftermarket kits will be needed to finish off the Spitfire and Hawk.
I haven't seen the catalogue yet but I will be checking YouTube for kit reviews.

PR19_Kit

They're re-popping the Bug and the Jag 420?  ;D

Great stuff, the Victor Estate and the Herald and the TR4A etc. can't be far behind.

But the bloke who bought my Jag 420 on ebay for £80 or so will be a bit cheesed............ ;)

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Regards
Kit

From your keyboard to Airfix's Re-release Scheduling Department...  ;)

I wonder if they will release the Morris Marina and Austin Maxi. You can still get the 1/32 Triumph Herald and TR.4. The Ford Escort used to be included in a triple pack.

Yes - which was the one that was missing when I got my hands on one of those boxings...

The Rover SDI would be nice. As would the Mini.

Talk nicely to Colin, I'm sure a Tempest I and II would be big sellers.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

What's the betting that someone released an Ice cold in Alice figure kit to go with the Ambulance

Special Hobby do a Tempest Mk.II in 1/72 in two different boxings IIRC for different operators and of course there is the old Matchbox Mk. II/VI kit too

Heller used to do the Rover SDI, as I have got one and the Range Rover. 'Spares and repair ' bought off eBay. I'm still looking for the Leyland Princess.

I wonder if they will release the .... Austin Maxi.

That would be one car kit I would buy purely for the nostalgia. My dad drove a pale blue one in the early 80s and I have fond memories of day trips in it. Great times in those laybys while he tried to fix the gearbox or stop the steam hissing out on Bank Holidays  ;D

McColm

If they release a Wolseley Six landcrab and the Maxi,  two real world Whiffs  ; the Wolseley five door and the Maxi saloon.
The Austin 1800 is a rare beast in plastic,  more of a toy than a slot car. Although you can get the diecast equivalent depending on what scale you are interested in and that depends on how deep your pockets are.
I have yet to come across the Austin 3L in diecast,  there's more likelihood that I can buy the real thing. Maximum speed 90 mph for a 3 litre engine. They must have thought 90 mph was fast enough back then!
