I promise I won't complain IF:
1. It's 1/72nd scale
2. It isn't ABS (Another Bloody Spitfire)

I can relate to that!  ;D . In fact, I'll only be surprised if it ISN'T (a) another bloody Spitfire and, (b) another sop to to the 1/48 mafia.
Bet ya it's going to be a 48th scale Spitfire  ;D  ;D
If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

PR19_Kit

It's bound to be 1/48 with the track they've been on for the last few years.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Regards
Kit

A 2025 release?

Well it's the 80th anniversary of the end of WW2 so maybe a bunch of VE/VJ Day-themed rereleases and a new 1/72 B-29?

Lets just be grateful that Airfix are still going

And remember that last years surprise release was 1/72nd scale.  ;)

Well, you can all go back to sleep now. Two kits. Both  1/48 (absolutely no surprise there) and, it's another Sea KIng, this time the HC.4 and, a Lysander.Total MEH! So much for "one you will not want to miss".

Yeap, sadly we seem to be relegated to reboxes, vintage classics ans noddy kits for kids, whilst they fawn over the 48th crowd. Their loss not interested in 48th scale, a decent 72nd kit and I get multiples, so spend my money on those who cater for the 72nd market.

You and me both. I've bought hardly any Airfix kits over the last 3 - 4 years due to the lack of NEW 1/72  (as opposed to rehashed kits with go faster stripes).. Thankfully, there are plenty others out there with more flair and imagination than Airfix  and, who respect their 1/72 market.

Well at the risk of committing heresy and being burnt alive at the stake I think the choice of a 1/48 Lysander is interesting to say the least, some might even say brave. I'll be interested to see what it looks like and may even get one for a real World build. (is that two acts of heresy in two sentences ?)

And that comes from someone whose stash is probably 98% 1/72.

Probably something like this.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.
