Hey Nils: could you see what the part breakdown was like on the Lightning? Have they made the belly pack a separate piece?

according to what ive seen, there was a 2-piece canopy, a decent looking ejection seat, red top missiles (i didnt notice optional firestreaks),
speed brakes, but from first glance, i think the belly tank was moulded on the fuselage like most lightning kits (although it looked kinda bloated).
looked promising from what ive seen

I received a phone call from Wonderland in Edinburgh, they have the Lancaster BII in stock now and are expecting the weapons loading set in a few weeks.

The weapons loading set is very nice the only problem I have with is that theres no figures so they may be in development.  ;)
ps, I think the loading set will be very popular with railway modellers as well as aircraft and armour modellers, beautiful set.  ;D
pps, you don't get a bomb load with the new Mk11 Lanc, its in with the loading set, nice 8000lb and 4000lb cookie.

Just got the newsletter, the new Fw 190A-8 is out, both in standard and starter boxings (as well as the Lanc BII and loading set as already mentioned.

Nice snake scheme from JG10 for the standard boxing, JG26 markings with an unsual number on the tail for the starter set:

The Vampire is being re-stocked as well for anyone who's missed out on this one.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

TsrJoe

hmm wondering if Airfix will do a standard single seat vampy to go with the T.11 ?

Gondor

How about a Venom or two or even three or four in all the various major differences?

Must admit I'm waiting for the F sub series of the Fw 190
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

I'd love to see the Venoms. Gorgeous little aeroplane with tonnes of whif potential !

So with the new Lancaster flying off the shelves and the kit being moulded to make the engine fitted to the aircraft to easily be the radial or more usual in-line version, who will be the first to produce the engine cowling for the B VI version?

The Wooksta!

A2Zee are doing a Lincoln conversion, so I suspect that they'll have a Lancaster VI conversion set also.

....or even the turbo-prop version.  ;)

I was talking to a guy at the Brum Show who'd built the BIII Special already and he said that while it's a superb moulding there's no way to build the fuselage and the wings separately, paint them, and then assemble the bits. You have to build it all of a piece first and then paint it, which isn't easy with the Bomber Command Dark Earth/Dark Green/Black scheme.is model looked magnificent nonetheless.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model
