Remember seeing what must have been one of these http://www.automodellistudio.com/2012/04/monthly-specials-may-2012/ in the Holborn Modelzone Shop about a year ago.  And as far as a kit is concerned - http://www.hyperscale.com/2008/reviews/kits/planet217reviewmd_1.htm.

The new Harrier GR.1 is out and what a beauty, hope they scale her up to 1/48.  ;D

They had the Harrier GR1 sprues at the Bristol Show, and the 1/48 Javelin too, which is MAGNIFICENT! I wish they'd scale that DOWN to 1/72 of course.  ;D

ATTENTION PLEASE!! I have been told by Airfix that if they feel that the bugatti 100p would get enough sales then they would seriously consider putting it into production, I felt that the up and comping completion of the 100p restoration project, now would be a good time for them to start  ;D also, imagine the whiffery potential of a mainstream 100p! Added to the fact that it is a truly beautiful creation, I urge you to contact Airfix and raise their awareness that we do want them to start manufacturing this iconic aircraft that has yet to fly...... Thanks

Just sent them an e-mail supporting this idea.

While I was at it I also suggested something I've thought for a while would make a good subject for them: the Martin-Baker MB.5:

It's British, it's good-looking, it's unusual, it's never had a mainstream kit of it, and it's not another Luft'46!

Good idea Weaver as its been done in vacform, resin and limited production in both 1/72 and 1/48th there is certainly a market for the MB-5

I was hoping for them to produce it in 1:72, good idea, I like the mb.5  ;D
Don't let ageing get you down, it's too hard to get back up

Mossie

That's an excellent idea, the things you could do with an MB.5....

Think I'll be keeping an eye out for the GR.1. :drink:
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

The MB5 is to me the punchiest looking piston-engined fighter imaginable, the Sabre-engined Fury the handsomest.

Spitfires remain the prettiest.

FW190D-9 (blown canopy, not the flat canopy) and P-51D tie as best mix of form and function.  I always think of the FW190D-9 as a kind of flying Audi.

So yes, Mr Airfix - a 1/72 MB5 kit would sort my 2014 birthday and Xmas present lists out to a tee.

An Airfix MB5? Yes PLEASE!

The best looking fighter of the period to my mind, mixes the best bits of a P-51 and late mark Spitfires all into one. I still have my Skybirds 96 'marble finish' one in an unbuilt state, I suppose I really out to make the darn thing!
