Airfix's email newsletter talks about the new Harrier G1 and includes the phrase ' ....This is the first ever plastic-injection moulded kit of the Harrier GR1 and comes with two decal options...'

Now that can't possibly be right, I know of at least two other GR1 kits in 1/72 and one of them was from Airfix themselves!  :o

Can only assume that who ever wrote the newsletter is perhaps a little ignorant of kit history? However, it's a minor niggle!! GET ME TO THE PLASTIC!!!

Airfix MB5 in 1/48 would be nice!

Was over at Britmodeller earlier and saw the sprue pics from Wonderland in Edinburgh, very stingey with the weaponry compared to their previous GR.1 kit.
With you on the MB.5 Guy, beaut merging of a Spit and Mustang! Somone on BM has suggested it too and someone talked with Airfix about a Buggati 100P kit which they said they might do if there was enough demand!

I could see Trumpeter doing a 1/48 MB.5, but it doesn't really matter who did it as long as we get one, or two, or may be three or even four.................. ;) ;D

ps harrier comes with two drop tanks, 30mm gun pods and two Matra rocket pods.

Green Dragon

haven't done the earlier Airfix Harrier in very long time but IIRC it had Gun Pods, Tanks, 4x Rocket Pods, 4x Bombs, 4x Practice Bombs & carriers and unless I'm mixed up with someone elses kit the centreline Recce Pod. Frog was well appointed with whizz bangs too far as I remember.

Lack of ordnance won't stop me getting a few though! Got tons of stuff in the spares boxes.

The 'Middle East' Tucano will be a limited edition (How I HATE that phrase!) of 1000! That's not too many.......

Only a thousand Kit? Seems pretty low for such a good colour scheme, though I would have done one with shark teeth! Probably be sold out before I can get some cash to the bank!

That's why the whole 'Limited Edition' thing gets me going so much.

Having forked out to make the new decals already why not put the thing on general release? Even their finance people MUST be able to see that, but apparently not.  :banghead:
