You can always ask Aircav, as he works in a proper model shop with a strong mail order aspect and a good relationship with both the Airfix & Revell reps  ;)

How come the radial Lanc is $40 and the Dambuster $60 ? Seems odd to me....is it the same over there ? Looking forward to seeing the ground support sets over here.

I bought the Dambuster a month or so ago, just the straight up kit. I think it was 63 or 56 or somat. I'll have to ask my LHS as I always peel the price tag off to protect the guilty  The radial job is only $39.99 !

On the Airfix web site both the Dambusters BIII and the Hercules engined BII are the same price, £29.99. The Dambusters Gift set is another £5.

It looks like the difference in the USA is a LOT more, someone's pushing their luck over there.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

looking at the artwork, i'd have said the extra sprue accounts for the £5 extra cost...
