I don't hate facebook, I just don't see any point in it.  I have a facebook account but if only to make sure no one registers one under my name without me knowing about it.  ;)

I'm still seeing the Grumman Duck on the Advent Calendar......  :-\
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Can you see the presents, the Red ones are the days that have been opened, the Green one is today and the blue ones are the yet to be opened. On clicking on a present a pop up box opened with a clue, a thumbnail image and a link to the comp.

Lightning doesn't bother me much

:o

Yea sorry Kit. It's an aircraft that's always impressed me in the flesh, but model wise just not my period I'm afraid. Built a Matchbox one years ago and possibly an Airfix or Hasegawa one when RAF Germany were using the green over grey scheme
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Hmmm, what about backdating a Lightning to the late '40s/early '50s? Remove the intake bullet, give it a set of thick, slightly swept or straight wings and tail surfaces, a rounded fin, and a stack of Hispano Mk.Vs and RP-3s?

Ah but those are crap kits surely a new Airfix one to their latest standards might just tempt you a bit  ;)

I can see it Robert, so I'm sure anybody can

I see what the problem is, it's on Facebook ----    :banghead: :banghead:

I don't do Facebook ---

oh good! Im not the only Facebook refusenik on here

No, you certainly aren't  Don't see the point of it and absolutely fail to understand why so many people get so enthusiastic about face book. Complete and utter waste of electronic space and about as much practical use as a chocolate tea pot!!!
Loves JMNs but could never eat a whole one!!

Captain Canada

Asked my LHS and he has no idea when they will be available over here ( the Lightning kits ) As I stated earlier, no GR.3s yet, and he could only get his hands on a single GR.1 !

As for Facebook, I love the place. Well, I used to, now I just 'like' it  We moved from our town when we were 15-16, so it's like we had two seperate lives, and FB gave us a chance to catch up and renew old freindships. But it's gone too commercial, and too many people just copy and paste or share crap they see.

Depends what you use it for, but Facebook can be very useful. As long as you just ignore all the crap iPhone selfies and stupid pictures that do the rounds, it's a good way of keeping track of people/things.

I'm on Facebook but mainly for games.
Latest on the advent calender is the RAF Hawk in a kids scheme from a competition. Today's compo kit is the Illustrious gift set.

Still nothing new as yet just re-issues, still its fun to watch and see what clues they give out even if some git went and plastered up the snapshots on BM.

We still have to await the confirmation of the kits and scales in the new catalogue, and hopefully we'll get an idea from the trade of planned release dates, although we already know the 1/24th Typhoon is aimed at a June release for D-Day.

The Wooksta!

If they're doing the Blenheim, I just hope that the lower nacelles are separate pieces to the wing so that the more enterprising can get a mk V out of the kit.

And you can still get at the other boxes that aren't open yet.
