See if you can get a copy of airtimes F-4 Phantom:Spirit in the Sky book as that covers all the Phantom variants including the British ones plus later unbuilt spey variants with a higher lift wing and later VG wing to allow safer performance on the British Carriers and on the US Essex class carriers to replace the Crusaders as the standard USN toom was found to be too unsafe for Essex class carriers (it didn't live up to its hype either !).

If it helps anyone, I have that book on my bookshelf. I'm happy to help if people want  info from it.

WOW, lots of new tools in 1/72, the Tiger Moth and Supermarine Swift are definatly on my list.
i wonder if the Fouga Magister will come with Belgian markings?

1/144 707, im gonna try to get those in larger numbers for KC/RC-135 and E-8 JSTARS conversions 

Hi Nils, that BOAC 707 is a -420 series powered by Rolls Royce Conways and was operated by Air India, BOAC/British Airways, El Al, Lufthansa and Varig IIRC. Nice to see it in BOAC colours, will be getting one or two and may get the Southwest/Britannia 737 and Air Canada/Alitalia 727 too.
Will be getting the C-47 or DC-3 (DanAir colours) prob the Swift and defo the D017Z & Bleheims.

if i wasn't already going to be tooled up on warriors, the patrol pack would be a wargamers dream,  warrior in 48th and the 8 man patrol for it, for less than £25  with glue, paint and brushes!!    I can see some wobbling 40k gamers going tonto for it.

Especially as the GW equivalent would be double the price at least..!

Will have to get a couple of Tiger Moths, and although the Swift doesn't really interest me (the Hunter's ugly sibling!) it's very good to see it (and the period in general) getting some attention. Hoping for a Venom at some point! And with new-tool Bristol twins, might we see a Beaufighter down the line....?

...................and a 1/72 VC-10 AND a Spey Phantom, AND a Lightning F3/T4/T5 AND a new tool Vulcan B1/B2 AND, a new Victor B1/B2 AND a NEW TOOL HALIFAX BIII (instead of the tired old reissued relic!) AND (oh, I'd better stop this..!) .

My first interest is not airliners but, I will dabble occasionally. It's just a shame Airfix did not take the opportunity to completely re tool their airliners. I would like to see the BAC 1-11,Comet, Caravelle & Vanguard again as well as the lovely HP-42

The one I can't believe is the Tucano at £10.99: it's about the size of a Spitfire that retails at £7.99....

Spitfire IXc?  They have one in the range as it is and a newish tool at that.  Are they redoing it?

On the subject of a Halifax, isn't the recent release by Revell fine ? Looks good in the box anyway !
