I'm sure (I hope?) the Airfix people know better than I do what helps sell a kit and it is a nice picture.

Apparently, the Oscars on the Blenheim box are the wrong type - wrong for the period as they're later.

New Xtradecal sheet - I'll probably end up doing the all silver Yugo one, simply to use up one of teh part built Novo ones.

What did the Airfix Fairey Battle box art show?

The current one is interesting in that it shows a couple of Greek aircraft attacking an Italian armoured column

I believe it is depicting the mission where Squadron Leader Arthur Stewart King Scarf earned a Victoria Cross.

Besides, maybe the artwork will go on sale at some point and this kind of art is interesting.

But do see your point and you are right, I don't think I have seen a burning tank on a cover selling that tank.
.

Yes it does depict Scarf's action but l agree that as a kid it might have put me off

Can anyone tell me if the current boxing of the Airfix 1/72 Ju52 boat plane has the undercarriage included as well as the float gear?

Thanks

The Wooksta!

Should have, but you'd be better off tracking down an Italeri one - they did a float variant amongst several others.  Far superior kit.

Got a message from Airfix saying the Higgins Boat is out. Not a floaty thing builder usually but reckon I might get one, looks really good in the pic.

The Airfix Ju-52 does have floats and the undercarriage. I did have one but passed it on to another Whiffer.

I had an email post from Airfix that announced it too.

Well the 1/24 Typhoon is out on Monday and I have been told "NOT TO BUY IT" (not my capitals or bold) on pain of death. Think I'll be seeing it in 5 months time

Who told you that?

Assuming your question relates to the Typhoon being released on Monday then Hannants website (actually it says week commencing 14th July)

Assuming your question relates to who told me ? My niece  ;D

I think the family rather then buy me individual presents which to be honest I doubt if I'd do much with, or vouchers have decided to club together and get me something I would really, really want
