Why not pick up all three? :-\

That way you can build one up as a PRV(AF/N?) operational version
& another as a super-extended civilian version with a double greenhouse for tourist flights around Port Phillip Bay & along the Victorian west coast. ;D

Have you had this habit long?   :o

It's definitely becoming a problem....
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

I must admit the thought had crossed my mind to grab all 3.  Alas, my finances are not good.

Blimey, the Val moulding is so old they should be paying US to take it off their hands!  :o

Lot of whiff potential though. Thought #1: stick a spare V-12 from a Matchbox He-70 on it and put it on the deck of a Kreigsmarine carrier. (Didn't Sequoiaranger do something like that?)

Just got an email from Airfix announcing their 1/72 Lightning F6.

Overwing tanks included with Red Tops and Firestreaks for the missile armarment, and it looks like a belly 30 mm gun pack as an option. One decal set is the black finned 74 Sqdn scheme but I can't figure out which Sqdn. the all grey vesrion is.

It looks like it's the Lion symbol of the Lightning Training Flight to me? Circa 1982?
Oh to be whiffing again :-(

IIRC the LTF had mk3s with three colour camo and a blue lion. The all gra[e]y schemes were 5 and 11 Sqns. I will check my refs

I had an interesting conversation yesterday with the bloke in the LHS regarding Airfix kits.  I commented that I had yet to see any Blenheim I's in Australia (noting that the Airfix website now lists it as out of stock) and he told me that the shop has a heck of a time getting the kits they want from the Australian distributor.
They tell them what they want but never know what they are going to get until the boxes arrive.  And if they don't get what they have asked for?  Tough.
The bloke in the shop actually advised me that if there was something new I particularly wanted I was better off ordering it on-line from someone who actually had one rather than ask him to get it and wait.

Maybe i can help you? My LHS usually gets new kits pretty soon after release. The Blenheim Mk I is available and the Mk IV is coming soon. Costs are the kit(s), the shipping and handling costs...I won't charge you extra as i live close enough to the place and I'm there on e regular basis.

I'm in the Netherlands. If interested please PM me.

zenrat

Thanks for the offer.  I appreciate it but no thank you.
I wasn't looking for a Blenheim 1 but used it as an example with him as what I could see on the shelves wasn't the latest kits.
I'd like one but it's not a priority to get one immediately (i've got more than enough to be going on with) and i've discovered in life that everything comes along eventually it you keep your eyes open and wait.
