Fingers crossed he's got 1/24 wrong and there's a new tool 1/72 Vulcan coming! ;D

1/72, I'd echo a Tempest Chris, surely we're due a Defiant???
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Maybe a scaled down Javelin ?

Down to 1/144scale and I would be in heaven.

1/24 swordfish

Y'know, I could see them trying that! (I could also see me not buying it for every reason....)

Nah, he has got the 1/24th wrong but it's actually the 1/72nd Martin-Baker MB.5 I've been telling them to make.... (yeah, right...)

I think such a beast would be a retirement project - the last model you get and work on for the rest of your life, super-detailing down to the last rivet.  ;)

Unlikely the news came from Richard Farrar, the SMW manager, who is also part of the Bomber Command SIG, if he says its 1/24th then we can be pretty sure his sources are correct, as its not some forum post but news from the IPMS(UK).

Anyway Airfix are unlikely to release a new tool 1/72 Vulcan in the next 18 months, as one of their designers has helped create the Corgi readymade model (its half diecast/half plastic so can't really call it a diecast !). So yes they do have the drawings to do a new kit and probably will do, they won't until Corgi has had a fair crack at the market, so we'll have to wait
