GBP17......that works out to NZ$34, which is $8 cheaper than Kiwi retail for a single 1/48 PR.XIX!!!!    Even with postage it's till cheaper.

But, of course, I don't have quite enough on my Visa.  :banghead:

Do you want me to get a bundle for you now and hold it until you've got the money? Might even get cheaper postage (but don't bank on it)?

Still nothing new in Canada ! You should see the supply of Humbrol paints as well ! Whomever screwed up the supply to NA needs a slap.

  :-\

Errm, no probs/delays down here, at least in the Greater Puget Sound (not surprising as Hornby America is in Fife, WA),
have you checked with the folks in the Greater Vancouver Area? Hell, ask Alvis he's in the biz in Victoria.

Maybe the BC folk are intercepting everything.  ;)

Whoa, back up a sec. Hornby US's office is in Fife? I'm in Auburn (about 7 miles north) and never knew that! Maybe I should go ransack their dumpster and see what I can find!
All hail 1:72!

They could well be doing a Skua, it was my guess on Britmodeller at what Airfix were also researching in the Norwegian Aviation Museum when they scanned something there a year or so back.
I was really hoping they scanned the Braathens Fokker F-28-100 though!

Paul Harrison

Nope a Skua makes sense, we had a similar thought when we saw the Do-17Z at Cosford in 2013 on the eve of SMW and the Airfix sponsored display board had artwork of that aircraft being shot down by a Defiant and we all said were getting a new Defiant to make a Dogfight Double  ;D.

Must admit i'm still somewhat surprised that the new Wildcat in it various boxings are all USN rather than a FAA option as we did use them from 1940-45

I just had a look at the 1/72 Spit bundle.  Price is good until I add postage and then it's obscene.  $50 (25 quid) to post two 1/72 kits is a joke.

Zenrat & KiwiZac: same offer. Do you want me to get you the kits you want and then sort out separate delivery? If I spend over £30 on Airfix's website I get free local postage, so it'd be worth bulking a purchase up. Please let me know. Remember you've only got 'til the 15th, also I'll be away from home on the 8th and 9th.

The Wooksta!

Had a look at the Spit bundle.  Hmmn, nice but I've already got some big A2 cutting mats - courtesy of an office clearout at NCJ Media when I was still there - and I've more than enough F22 Spitfires.  19s I could do with a few more but not the F22, much as I like the kit.

A Skua would be well nice, especially if it's the same price as the Defiant.  I'd like to do one in the far east.

It's not a patch on the Airfix PR19, but it is available I suppose, which the Airfix kit isn't, apparently.  :banghead:
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Ooh, you enabler you. ;D

Thanks but no thanks.  I appreciate your offer but I don't really need* a pair of Spits ATM and have learned that if I wait long enough everything I want will come to me at a good price through either Evil-Bay or Hobby Link Japan or a swap & sell.  It's not like they're rare kits.

*need being a relative concept obviously.
