3 different hobby shops in three different CDN cities....read my lips "No new Airfix " ! What a shame.

:banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

I've started a thread about it on the Airfix forum, if you feel like contributing.

I'll have to register and then I can join in. I'll tell my LHS about it as well. Surprised nobody has said anything ?

Airfix won't care.  They'll just say "well you can buy direct from us and pay our postage charges".

I may go and stir things up though.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Sept magazine has builds of the Kate and Whitley and both look very nice

Also has a supplement on 100 Years of Westland with 3 builds. Good edition of the mag

Sounds good ! I went to my bookstore last week to look for the Airfix mag but none in sight. I might have to hit the big city.

Honestly, it's the honest ones you have to watch out for!!!

Well the Beaufighter, He-111 and Kate have missed the boat again, missed their early August due date and now set for late September  :banghead:, back to the same poo-poo (with an english accent) as last year, great work in-house let down by an unreliable third party manufacturer in India.

They are going to need a more reliable and hopefully more local Manufacturer if they expect to meet their expectations as the UK operation is working a treat on designing and developing the new kits, but are being let down by the failure to deliver the goods on schedule, they don't even know its not arrived until they check their delivery, thus the expired eta each time rather than rolling back .

I was attempting to point out that the kit has been released as I have one in my stash.

I think they're talking about the 1/48 Defiant Alastair.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Ah, but I am talking about the 1/72 scale Defiant model Kit which is doubly strange as the Dog Fight Double containing the Defiant is available apparently
