Any one want a Dakota? Airfix have reduced their Mk IV [Stock No.A08015
]to £10.99 until Monday
Here the new Dakota/DC-3s are ludicrously expensive at retail and even online - for NZ$85 or so I expect they're amazing kits!

Great news the Bassets are coming out for you guys, awesome! Not terribly surprised that KitStarter is going on hold for a while.

There's an article in the May issue of Scale Aviation Modeller International pages 426-428 on the Airfix Avro Shackleton MR.2 by Alec Smith with additional pics of the WR963 'Ermintrude' Jan 2016.

Just seen an announcement on the Airfix forum that the Kitstarter scheme is officially dead: mo more models will be issued under it.

Hm, some posts here seem to have gone missing.

After Weaver posted about the Kickstarter scheme being cancelled I asked if the Beagle Basset was the only kit they did under the scheme, and someone replied that it was.

Neither of those posts are here.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Might have been victims of the recent change over ?

Are you sure that wasn't on the separate Kitstarter thread Kit?

While I know it actually happened, somehow using the words 'Whitely' and 'Airliner' in the same context just doesn't gel.......  ;D

And doesn't 'MPA' sound too modern in the context of a  Whitley as well ???  ;D
Oh to be whiffing again :-(

Captain Canada

That boxart makes the a/c look great ! I've never built a Whitley so defo want to see one. Rather pricey tho.
