The Walrus and Sea Fury are most welcome

Old Wombat

Sea Fury is a definite "must buy". Getting it past SWMBO could be difficult, though. :-\

Pricing in general is on an upwards climb. And I doubt it will ease off any time soon (if ever). And not just with Airfix.

Brexit is going to cost us Brits a minimum of 15% on the cost of imported kits. Add the recent increase to oil prices on to increase in raw material costs generally (Brexit again) and the increase in UK domestic produced kits will be 8% to 12% I think. Cost pressures will increase as the year progress I'm afraid and could have a very serious effect on UK domestic producers although the benefits of the decrease in the value of sterling may help their exports in the short term.

Pick up the stuff you want when you see it.

Buying Japanese/Chinese is already a no-no from UK sources. I find ordering from Japan or China may take time but incl. P&P/customs etc costs they are still cheaper. Quite often I buy from Eastern Europe via Ebay as the prices just can't be beaten.

Captain Canada

Not a lot of excitement there for myself either, but the new Phantom will be bought, that's for sure

Not much for me on this list either. I'll still be picking up a Victor when they arrive in the US and I'll probably spring for the Spey Phantoms too. Don't need more B-25s, Me-262s, or B-17s.

Nice scheme for the 1/72 Tomahawk. Stuka is as well, but I have that snake in at least 2 after market sets

I like the Tomahawk scheme as well (having just done the 112 squadron option) but I've a feeling I've got the markings for that already in an after-market set? (or is it just early 112 squadron options?)

I'd like the 1/48 Sea Fury and the previously offered version of the 1/48 Meteor ....but must keep repeating .....I am NOT buying any more kits, I am NOT buying any more kits  :banghead:
Oh to be whiffing again :-(

Just got the Airfix 2017 Catalogue, the Phantom FG1 is due Nov 2017 and the decal options are 892 mid 70s with RWR on fin, 767 with the Yellow Falcon, and the Red Heron of the NASU (Naval Air Support Unit)

So that's the RN Phantoms covered leaving it to the Aftermarket boys to do the Silver Jubilee 892 markings, the zapped ones and of course the RAF 43 sqd ones that were robbed from 899 sqd and meant for use aboard HMS Eagle  :banghead:.

The Sea Fury appears to be the familiar hi demarcation scheme of a HMS Glory aircraft circa Korean War and an earlier low demarcation scheme on Ocean.

That B-25 is welcome, their old is terrible. Building it now, not an exercise for the faint of heart.

And yet I have quite fond memories of their old one. Probably because of the build options that came with it and of course our expectations were so much lower back then. Ah, simpler days  ;D

Brexit is so ill-timed and fundamentally wrong in so many ways!! 😕

Obviously, this is entirely from the perspective of a small country citizen, basically living just under the paws of the russian bear. Maintaining solid and strong democratic contexts in our/my vicinity is not a matter of comfort, but rather survival, in particular in these times where the US is backing home, or even worse, hinting to strike deals regarding the European security over the head of the europeans.
Against that backdrop, a strong EU would have been preferrable, but since Brexit, the road towards dispersal seems quite open in the Netherlnds as well as in France, to mention the two most important countries after the UK. Thus, totally disregarding any and all domestic consequences within the UK, Brexit is and will be, from my perspective, extremely unfortunate.

I sincerely hope that I haven't offended anyone of you, that was far from my intention, but I also hope that you care to raise your view and at least pity me when we are conquered or at least Finlandised, having to do with Eastern Express and Zvezda for the rest of my life..

Let's not go there. It's a very divisive subject in the UK and will remain so for a long time

My profound excuses. Incredibly daft on my part. 🙄

I have edited a bit above for clarity and - I hope - to avoid any unintended irritation. I thought about taking the entire post out, but then your comment would have been corrupt and God knows what, so I'll just have to stand by my words.
