My B-26 Marauder needs are fully met by the Hasegawa kit, but I would go for a new tool Vulcan to complete the V-bomber trio. I have built the elderly Airfix kit but would like a more contemporary version too.

More likely to see the AD-4W or rather the Skyraider AEW1 as that was the version used by the Royal Navy. Yes I know Airfix did the Skyraider but it dated from when they were still in active use in Vietnam, so they would probably favour the RN AEW version if they decided to do it.

Would be nice to see but would prefer to see a Scimitar and Sea Vixen or even a new Whirlwind first.

Problem is a decent 1/72 Skyraider to hang it from.

I take it from these posts that the Hasegawa kit doesn't cut the mustard...haven't built it but can't see anything wrong with it (apart from a usual lack of ordnance).

I certainly agree with early model Skyraiders (both 1/72 and 1/48). It's not as easy as some reviewers maintain to backdate an H/J...those armour plates are a bugger to remove properly. A really nice new A-1E/AD-5 etc would be lovely . A-1E is in my top five faves.

I've not seen the Hasegawa one.  Only the Heller/Airfix.

Hmmm, Scalemates says Hasegawa dates from '96.  It doesn't look bad.  Better than the Airfix one anyway.
Fujimi and Hobbycraft also produced them.
I can get a new Hasegawa 1/72 Skyraider from an LHS for a mere $47.  This is why Airfix should do one.
