Well to say the least the announcement of the Buccaneer surprised me, and despite it having no props I will be getting a couple  Other than that there's a couple of re-pops of nice kits coming out - the Typhoon, P-40 and Zero - so I'm reasonably happy.

I could well be tempted down the nostalgia path with some of those figure sets as well  Just need to find some dice, a tape and my Featherstone

Noticed a very short while ago that the RAF boxing of the Phantom is now in stock. Needless to say that a couple will be heading my way shortly after a nice chat with Hannants staff 

I also have one on back-order which will get me a discount on the model but I had to order the other two once they were in stock to make use of a gift voucher

The MiG-17F and the Bucc are obviously welcome. I may well have one of the former and several of the latter.

The Astronauts are probably a smart re-pop: those things have been going for collectors' prices for ages.

The 1/35th armour doesn't float my boat, but it's an interesting development. 1/35th armour is a huge field, so it's potentially very profitable for Airfix to get into it, and that's good for everybody.

If only they'd scale down their CAD drawings for the Javelin and Sea Vixen and do them in 1/72nd! (Yes, I know it's not as easy as that, but still...)

I'd love to see them do more 1/35 armor support.  Everybody's about AFVs, but very few look at supporting the armor...

They've got the Bucc's seats offset like the real ones, first time ever in 1/72 IIRC. 

I hope they sort out the prototype  Concorde's starboard wing fit. Back in the day it had about 5 deg more incidence than the port one and needed LOTS of cutting and filing to  make it fit.

The MiG17 is very welcome as I have been trying to find a good one for some time at the moment.  I wonder if it is reusing someone else's moulds or part of the MiG15?

The Buccaneer is good news as well, although why they have gone with a split nose cone, I have no idea.

The repops are welcome.   Interesting choices.

I was starting to think Airfix were never going to bring anything out, I would even remotely consider buying, then they announce several, all be it repops. But good to hear.

No the Mig-17 will be a new tool and should be pretty accurate.

I had hoped especially as a RN boxing that the nose cone would be foldable, but it doesn't look like it.

Well have placed pre-orders form my first Buccaneers 

I doesn't look like the nose is seperate so will have to await the aftermarket stuff to do the folding nose cone.
Hoping the bomb bay door has at least optional open or closed options if not practical to do rotating.

The CGI kit looks good from what we can see so definately chuffed about this

Just need Airfix to backdate their new Sea King to RN HAS1/HAS2 standard

Personally i'm more likely to buy the support vehicles than the actual armour.

If you recheck that "other forum" you will see it's been sorted

Yes they are new tools. Scalemates has got it's knickers in a twist for some reason.

Cheers Chris, I had pointed out that the fact there was computer graphics of the model, why they would have bothered if it was a rebox.
