IIRC, there was a comparison of the available C130 kits in 72 - Airfix, ESCI/ERTL and Italeri - and the consensus seemed to be that the Airfix kit was the better one overall but the ESCI kit had slightly better detail.
Thanks for the info

Revell  did  a Neptune  too, I  have  both the  hasegawa and revell one.  They might even be the  same  kit
Chris

They are the same kit, yes, and FROG sold it too way back when.

Rumour has it the FROG ones were all actually moulded in Japan though.

The Wooksta!

There's only been one Neptune kit in 72nd - Hasegawa.  All the other boxings are just reboxes of yer actual Japanese plastic.

And Hasegawa did, and maybe still do, make the Neptune, except it probably costs a King's ransom these days!

Scheduled for re-release this month in JMSDF markings.
Hobby1999 have it for ¥3,230 (approx. $30.32 USD, £24.16).

Hmmmm, it'll be interesting to see how much that's inflated by the time the UK importers have got at it........

Hannants (and therefore the rest of the UK will be around the same) have it listed for £49.99 or if you pre-order it £44.99  :-\ I assume Hales are still the importers ?

As a matter of interest it always amuses me slightly that Hannant's refer to pre-orders as backorders ?
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Out of interest, what percentage is your VAT these days, I read somewhere it's around 20%, is that correct?

BTW, if I buy it, it's GBP37.50

Rheged

Yes, you are quite correct. 20% it is.

Just worked it out to that too, from the price I can get it for plus 20% equals GBP45

When you have to tack on a 1/5th more of what ever is costs, it certainly jacks up the price ---

Someone has to keep the politicians fully supplied with smugness, self-satisfaction, pomposity and brandy.  They don't come cheap.

The brandy or the politicians?  ;)

Well that depends doesn't it.  A good brandy could cost more to buy than a minor party pollie.

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Indeed - care is needed to avoid spending more on the brandy neccessary to persuade a politician to let you buy them than the politician is worth.
