I'd rather have a Sea Vixen and a Javelin...

...and a Rotodyne obviously.

We should be so lucky, but the Bucc is much better known as it flew with the Navy and the RAF, and for a long time too.

Plus it saw active service and a few people will have memories of the Iraq footage. Also surprisingly a fair few people with no real interest in aviation are aware and have seen the Red Flag videos.

Buccs and Spey Phantoms - real aircraft.

Buccs - was in the lead VC10 for a 1990s Battle of Britain flypast over London.  Tanked Buccs off the Suffolk coast (Southwold hold IIRC) a couple of thousand feet above the water just before starting the run in to London.  Pics somewhere.

Phantoms - got a jolly in a 100 Sqn Canberra target tug, towing a banner.  Shot at by Phantoms (either 43 or 111 Sqn).

Well if we are going to throw in well known "Active" aircraft then Airfix could do a new Tonka to replace their current offering, I would aslo agree with The Wooksta! and zenrat with their choices

I'd like Airfix to reissue the CA-13 Boomerang,

I've a couple of the Special Hobby kits which look quite nice in the box.

Meanwhile Airfix have announced the first aircraft for the Vintage Classics series :- Fieseler Storch, Hawker Demon, Bristol Bulldog, Hs 123A-1 and DH Heron. All in 1/72.

I'd like Airfix to reissue the CA-13 Boomerang, getting constantly harder to find a decently priced kit, the two I have brought recently were the cheapest I could find and even then I payed at least 3 times as much as I think they are worth, not including postage...  :banghead:

And I would like several more yet.

I'll keep an eye out for you.

The Storch hasn't been out since the early 80s, whereas all the others have been out within the last twenty.  Looking forward to the Heron though.

There's a review of the new MiG-17 Fresco in the latest AMW (November).

Semms to have some fit issues, although that might be down to the fact that it's a test shot. The breakdown of the kit and the presence of unused parts on the sprues indicates that they have other versions/boxings planned.

There isn't a radar nose in the box AFAIK, but the breakdown would support doing that version in the future. The unused parts in the current boxing are ground-attack weapons.
